Procedure for Registration:CET Counseling


Registration Process:

1. Counseling for Type-I programmes listed in Groups A1, A2, B1 and B2 will be done on the basis of
merit of marks obtained in qualifying exam and eligibility. (Marks obtained in 12th for admission in UG
programs and marks obtained in graduation for PG programs).
2. In case of non-declaration of qualifying exam result, merit will be prepared on the basis of percentage
of aggregate marks obtained till last declared semester /year.
3. Registration for counseling is mandatory. Without registration for counseling the merit will not be
developed and the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the counseling.
4. The candidates who have applied earlier for Type-I programmes (CET) listed in Groups A1, A2, B1
and B2 will be eligible for registration. The application number and password sent earlier on your
registered mobile at the time of application will be used for login.
5. All Candidates who wish to appear in counseling must register themselves through
https://davv.mponline.gov.in(Portal charges will be Rs. 100/-).
6. Registration process will start from 29/07/2019(11.00AM) and remain open till 02/8/2019 (11:45 PM).
7. Group wise merit will be announced on 5thAugust 2019.Detailed counseling schedule will be announced
along with merit list. Counseling process will start from 8th August, 2019.
8. In case vacant seats candidates may appear in subsequent phases of counselling, the schedule of which
will be announced later.
9. Seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC and EWS category will be offered to the SC/ST/OBC and EWS
candidates of Madhya Pradesh domicile only. SC/ ST/OBC and EWS candidates from other states and
the candidates from other reserved categories from any state will be treated under unreserved category.
Change of category shall not be accepted at any stage.
10. Candidates who will be admitted on undertaking will have to produce final result of qualifying
examination (in case of result not declared at the time of counseling/ ATKT / Compartment) by 20th
August 2019 else admission will automatically be cancelled.
11. Decision of the Counseling Committee will be final and binding. All legal disputes shall be limited to
Indore Jurisdiction only.
12. In case of Tie (more than one student having same marks in the qualifying exam) in the admission on
any rank, admission will be given as under:
(a) Seniority in age will beconsidered
(b) In case age is also tied, Alphabetical order of candidate’s name will beconsidered
Other Important Points
a. Any situation, not covered by provisions mentioned in this guideline shall be referred to the
Counseling Committeewhich will work within the ambit of Act, Statutes and Ordinances of Devi
Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and its decision shall be final.
b. Ragging, teasing, torturing or making nuisance in any way inside or outside the campus has
been declared as a serious offence and strict action shall be taken against those who will be
found involved in such activities.
c. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the University, the concerned student shall
be given a chance to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the
University would expel him/her from the programme as well as from the institution.
d. In case it comes to the notice that an applicant was able to secure admission based on forged
certificate/s or by furnishing wrong information, willingly concealing adverse facts or due
to administrative or official negligence, his/her admission will be cancelled immediately
without giving anynotice.

Reservation Policy and Conversion of Seats


a. Reservation of seats in programs offered by the University will be in accordance with the policy of
Madhya Pradesh Government. The benefit of reservation will be available, only to the domiciles of
Madhya Pradesh.
b. Of the total seats, 16 percent and 20 percent seats in Programs will be reserved for applicants
belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), respectively. Seats of both these
categories are interchangeable.
c. Of the total seats in a course, 14 percent seats will be reserved for applicants from OBC category
(non- creamy layer).
d. Reservation is given as per the state govt. ruleto the candidates of Economically Weaker Section
(EWS), only to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh.
e. Reservation for Persons with disabilities (Physically Challenged (PH) Seats): One seat on over and
above basis in each course will be reserved for the physically challenged candidates with disability
percentage of 40 or above. Candidates claiming admission against these seats shall be required to
produce Disability Certificate from the concerned District Medical Board.
f. A horizontal reservation of 30 percent of the total seats will be for female applicants.
g. DAVV Employee ward quota: Admission for wards of the University employees will be done on
the basis of University guidelines. These admissions will be over and above the total number of seats
available in the concerned course.
(Ward here would mean husband, wife, son, daughter of the employee/teacher/officer. In this
respect a certificate from the Registrar, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore /Competent
authority of the University shall be required)
Note: These seats are interchangeable, and can be converted to other category (Officer/Teacher to
Employee or Vice -Versa) if they remainvacant.
h. If less than half seat falls under reservation, the seat will not be available, but in case the proportion
of seat is between half and one it will be treated as one.

i. If reserved seats remain vacant in any program on the day of counseling, the vacant seats will be
converted to unreserved category on the basis of merit as per rules.

j. To avail benefit of reservation, a certificate from a Competent Authority should be produced.

k. The candidates (applicants) must indicate explicitly the category for which he / she want to avail the
advantage of reservation for admission. This option will, in no case, be allowed to be changed.

l. The candidate admitted under NRI category will not be transferred to any other category unless
he/she has qualified entrance test and stands in merit.

m. Conversion of vacant seats among reserved categories (SC / ST / OBC) will be done as per M.P.
Government directives.

n. J & K Migrants quota seats: One seat in each program (over & above) shall be reserved for
sons/daughters of the persons displaced from the state of Jammu and Kashmir settled in M.P. on or
st
before 1 January, 1999. Such candidates shall have to produce a certificate from the S.D.O.
(Revenue) of the concerned district in prescribed Proforma. Sons/ Daughters of the employees of
M.P. Govt., who have served in the State of Jammu and Kashmir for curbing insurgency, are also
covered under thisquota.

Such candidates should have passed their qualifying examination from the State of Jammu and
Kashmir. Candidates would be required to produce a certificate in prescribed Proforma. The
certificate should be produced at the time of counseling.

o. J & K Resident Quota: One seat in each program shall be reserved on over and above basis for
residents of Jammu & Kashmir. The candidate will be required to submit appropriate certificate
issued by the competent authority at the time of counseling.

In case of tie at the same rank:


In case of Tie (more than one student having same marks in the qualifying examination) in the admission on
any rank, admission will be given as under:
(a) Seniority in age will beconsidered
(b) In case age is also tied, Alphabetical order of candidate name will beconsidered

Fee:
Candidate is required to bring a DD of Rs. 10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) in favor of “Registrar
(Self Finance) others” payable at Indore at the time of counseling, failing which candidate will not be
considered for counseling. The remaining fee, Caution Money, Student Services Fee and other applicable
fee will be required to be deposited in the respective Institute / School within three days of admission, failing
which admission will be automatically cancelled.
Refund of Fee

If any candidate leaves the course before the last counseling day of the group,the fee will be refunded to
him/her after deducting 1000/- of the fees deposited by him/her. Only caution money will be refunded if a
candidate leaves any course after the said date. Please note that request for refund of fee will be processed in
the University office and only after approval of the Govt. audit, refund will be done.

In cases where candidates have fetched an undertaking to the effect that their admission may be deemed
cancelled in case they fail to produce their result of qualifying examination with required eligibility
percentages by August 20, 2019, there will be no refund of fee deposited.

Where a provisionally admitted student is declared Fail, his/her fee deposited will be refunded after
deducting 1000/- of the fees deposited by him/her before last counseling.

2. Copy of counseling registration form
3. Printout of Merit obtained through login id.
4. Mark Sheet of Qualifying examination - Original for verification +1 Photocopy (Self
Attested)
5. Proof of Age - Original for verification + 1 Photocopy (Self Attested)
6. Transfer Certificate - Original + 1 Photocopy (Self Attested)
7. Migration Certificate - Original + 1 Photocopy (Self Attested)
8. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidate - Original for verification + 1
Photocopy (Self Attested) Only for M.P. domicile.
9. Income Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidate - Original for verification +
1 Photocopy (Self Attested))
10. J. & K. Migrant / J. & K. Resident Certificate - Original for verification + 1 Photocopy (Self

Note: Candidate must keep the above documents in the mentioned order (Original and Photocopy
separately) at the time of counseling.

Important Note:Candidates who will be admitted on undertaking will have to submit the final mark
sheet of qualifying examination(in case of result not declared at the time of counseling) by 20th August
2019else admission will automatically be cancelled.
For admission in MBA (HA) 2 years, the candidate has to submit the internship completion certificate by
20th August 2019 else admission will automatically be cancelled.
Decision of the Counseling Committee will be final and binding. All legal disputes shall be limited to Indore
Jurisdiction only.

Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of admission.
