recruiting passionate, knowl-
edgeable teachers and in-
structional staff to fill open
positions at several locations
in the West Valley.
Catholic Charities West-
side Head Start provides
comprehensive early, contin-
uous, year-round childhood
education through a holistic
approach by working with
the whole family. Programs
emphasize pre-reading, lan-
guage, math, cognitive skills,
and health, social and emo-
tional competence to prepare
disadvantaged children for
school and to maximize their
potential for a bright future.
The program is seeking in-
dividuals who have a passion
for helping children change
their lives for the better.
“It’s like a second family
here,” Maria Pataka, Fami-
ly Support Specialist in Glen-
dale, stated. “I love working
here and look forward to ev-
ery day.”
Full-day (8 a.m.-2 p.m.) and
half-day (8-11:30 a.m. or 11:30
a.m.-4 p.m.) classes are avail-
able in Avondale, Buckeye, El
Mirage, Glendale, Goodyear,
Peoria and Tolleson.
