WHEREAS, the City Govemment of Marikina is the owner of a public market situated at W.
Paz Street, Sta Elen4 this City;,

WHEREA$ Section 8 of the Local Govemment Code of provides that:

"x x x x Local government units shall hove the power and authoriy) to
acquire, develop, leose, encumber, alienate, or otherwise dispose of real or
personal property held by them in their proprietary capacity and to apply their
resources and assets.for productive, developmental, or welfare purpose";

WEERf,AS, Section 455 (b) (l) of the Local Govemment Code of l99l provides that the City
Mayor shall exercise genenl supervision and control over all programs, projects, services and
activities of the City Govemment and shall:

"Represent the city tn all ils busmess tansactrcns arul sign in its behalf all
bonds, contracts, and obligations, and such other documents upon authority of the
sangpyniang panlungsod or pursuant lo low or ordinance; x x x x

NOW, TEEREFORE, Bf, M R"E,SOLVED AS IT IS IIEREBY RESOLVED BY THE

SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF IUARIKINA, in session, duly assembled, to authorize
the Honorable City Mayor Marcelino R. Teodoro to enter into and sign contracts of lease on
behalf of the City Govemment of Marikina for the lease of stalls and spaces at the Marikina
Public Market, Barangay Sta. Elena, Marikina City,

RESOLYED, FURTHE& that this authority shall oover lease contracts for renewal and new
contracts
