Activities to develop

Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentence
using each one of the modal verbs regarding your duties and rights at
home: can – could – may - must - should - ought to – have to – need to-
had better - would.

1. I can take my friends to my house

2. I think i could finish the chores and go for walk

3. I may watch tv after doing homework

4. I must not leave dirty clothes in the bedroom

5. I should study every day for 1 hour according to my mother

6. I ought to organize the bedroom in the mornings

7. I have to help wash the dishes

8. My mother needs me to accompany her to market

9. I had better help my sister with the homework, so that it does not go
wrong in the exam

10. Dad said that i would clean the house's yard every Saturday

Manizales the best to live

Manizales is a city of the coffee axis, they say that it will become the best
city to live in Colombia, it is a city that has been growing a few years
ago, I can say that it is already the best, it has many good things:
climate, security, cleanliness and is the university city, the Manizalitas
must be proud of our city and we have to help keep it that way. The
government said it would be the best city in Colombia in many aspects.
There are many new projects in the city, universities will be formed to be
highly accredited and more housing projects will be built.
My City in 50 Years

Public transport: In 50 years I would like Manizales to have the best

public service in Colombia, the roads will be easier to travel because
more bridges will be built to improve traffic. The public service will be
larger and more comfortable buses and could have facility for disabled
people. Taxis will be wider and the security system for drivers and users
will be improved. As the city is small, aerial cables will be used, which will
improve traffic and communication between the city and some nearby
paths.
Health services: In 50 years the medical services in Manizales will be
much better, we hope to have more centers so that the emergency care
is faster, I would like them to have a pain clinic for people who have
serious diseases can have a better life. The city will have more
hospitalization units and operating rooms, we should also have a
specialist center where they not only attend but can train more.

Economy: The city's economy has been improving, but it is expected to

continue growing for the benefit of the entire population. More
investment is expected to activate employment and improve poverty.
With the planned projects you can improve the cost of living and help
many people, you should also lower the price of the market and
education so that everyone can access it, what we want is to have a very
cultured city with many professionals who will help raise the economy.
We want Manizales to be the most productive and economically stable.
