Demography:

Demography is the study of the population in its static and dynamic aspects. The static aspects include
characteristics such as composition by age, sex, race, marital status, economic characteristics. The
dynamic aspects are fertility, mortality, nuptiality, and migration.

Demographic parameters:

Socioeconomic characteristics of a population expressed statistically, such as age, sex, education level,
income level, marital status, occupation, religion, birth rate, death rate, average size of a family, average
age at marriage are all demographic parameters.

Population:

Pakistan's latest estimated population is 207,774,520 (excluding the autonomous regions of Azad
Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan). This makes Pakistan the world's sixth-most-populous country.
Including Azad Kashmir, the population would be 211.819 million. Gilgit-Baltistan region has an
additional estimated population of 1.8 million.
