ABSTRACT

Begin typing your abstract paragraph here. This paragraph should not be indented.

It should range between 150 and 250 words. After typing your abstract there

should be a page break and the body of the paper will begin on the next page. This

should be accurate, non-evaluative, readable, and concise. This is the most im-

portant single paragraph in this paper.

It is recommended that the “Formatting Symbols” is turned on when working with

this template. This will help prevent many formatting errors especially with the set

page breaks and section breaks.

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

Rationale of the Study

Although the abstract is not indented, the paragraphs of the manuscript are

indented. The computer will wrap your text for you based upon the margin settings

established by this document template. It is not necessary for you to hit the enter

or return key at the end of a line of text. Only hit the enter key (one time) when you

reach the end of a paragraph.

In APA, any source that you use in your paper must have an in-text citation.

In APA these citations include the author’s last name and the year of the publica-

tion in parentheses (Barrett, 2002). If the source you are using does not identify an

author, use a shortened version of the source title rather than the author name (“E-

Portfolios for Education,” 2006). This template has settings that will help you create

an APA format citation and references. From the ribbon, select references, and

select Insert Citation.

Tables in this template will automatically use the APA format. It is recom-

mended to insert the table title first using the References then Insert Caption com-

mand in Word. Also take note of the extra paragraph before and after the table. As

for the text written in the table, apply a No Spacing style.

Instrument

Here is a sample figure. In creating figures, it is essential that the shapes

are grouped as one and aligned center. You should create the shapes for your

figure first, then apply a grouping. Once done, you can now add a caption by se-

lecting your grouped shape and then right click and select Insert Caption. Apply

the same captioning with equations. For the text inside the figure, use the No Spac-

ing style.

CHAPTER 3
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This section of your paper depends on your statements of the problem. The

second level headings in this section are there as a guide. You may modify these

as required by the content of your paper.
