Grammer:

Structure of any language is called grammer "or"


The rules of reading,writing,and speaking of any language is
called grammer

Letter :
Each sign of each alphabed of any language is called letter
eg: A,B,C,...................Z etc....

Word :
A group of letters gives complete meaning is called word.
eg: A+N+T = Ant etc..............

Sentence:
A group of words which gives sense is called sentence.
eg:I+am+student = I am student etc..............
(PARTS OF SENTENCE)

Parts of sentence:
There are two(2) parts of sentence

i : Subject :
Subject is doer of work in the sentence
eg:She catches butterflies .("she" is subject) etc....................

ii : Predicate :
Predicate is a word which tells about the activities of
subject in the sentence
eg:We play football etc...................
(PARTS OF PREDICATE)

Parts of predicate:
There are two(2) parts of predicate

i :Verb :
Verb is work in the sentence
eg: She plucks flowers ("Plucks" is a Verb) etc.................
ii :Object :
Object is bearer of work in the sentence
eg : Taha catches butterflies ("butterflies" are object )

(KINDS OF SENTENCE)

Kinds of sentence :
There are six(6) kinds of sentence
i- Assertive sentence
ii- Interrogative sentence
iii- Negative sentence
iv- Optative sentence
v- Imperative sentence
vi- Exclamatory sentence
i- Assertive sentence :
Such a kind of sentence which makes statement
or shows assertion .
eg :She makes tea . etc.............

ii- Interrogative sentence :


Such a kind of sentence which asks
questions .
eg :What is your name ? etc.............
iii- Negative sentence :
Such a kind of sentence which shows negation .
eg :They did not go to karachi . etc............

iv- Optative sentence :


Such a kind of sentence which shows wishes and
strong desiers .
eg :I wish I would be a doctor . etc.............
v- Imperative sentence :
Such a kind of sentence which shows
commands, request .
eg :Come here,Dont write,Please go away . etc...........
vi- Exclamatory sentence :
Such a kind of sentence which expresses
some sudden feelings,emotions,joy or
sorrow of noun or pronoun .
eg :Oh ! I have lost my a pen . etc............

(Parts of speech)
There are eight(8) parts of speech .
They are :
i- Noun
ii- Pronoun
iii- Verb
iv- An adverb
v- An adjective
vi- Conjunction
vii- preposition
viii-An interjection
(NOUN)

i- Noun : Noun is the name of person,place,animal or anything "OR" Noun is


naming word .
eg : School,boy,girl,pen,dog,cat,etc....................

"Kinds of Noun"
There are five(5) kinds of noun .
i- Common noun
ii- Proper noun
iii- Collective noun
iv- Material noun
v- Abstract noun

Common Noun :
Common noun is the name of common person,place,animal or
any thing .
eg : Pen,Akram,Dog,School,House, etc.................

Proper noun :
Proper noun is the name of perticular person,place,animal,
or any thing .
eg : Allama Iqbal , Ever shine school MHR ,Taj mahal etc...........................

Collective noun :
Collective noun is the name given to the collection of
things . these nouns always use as singular noun
eg: Army , Nation , Crowed ,etc..................
Material noun :
Material noun is the name of any agricultural and
mineral thing (OR)
Those thing from which ster thing are made
eg : Wood , Cotton Wheat , Iron ,Oil , etc .......................

Abstract Noun :
Abstract noun is the name of quality , condition , and
state of any thing .
and we can not touch or see them but we can only feel them
eg : Richness , Honesty , Kindness , kingdom etc.........................
( PRONOUN)
Pronoun :
Pro means instead and noun means name . Pronoun is a word which is
used instead or inplace of noun .
eg : I , We ,You , They , He , She , It etc........................

( KINDS OF PRONOUN )
There are seven kinds of pronoun .
i : Personal pronoun
ii : Reflexive pronoun
iii : Demonstrative pronoun
iv : Distributive pronoun
v : Indefinite pronoun
vi : Relative pronoun
vii : Interrogative pronoun

Personal pronoun :
those pronouns which stand for person .
eg : I, WE ,US ,YOU ,IT ,HIS ,HER ,THEY ETC..............................

Reflexive pronoun:
Those pronouns in which the actiondone by subject
turns back upon it .
eg : my self, your self ,your selves ,him self , her self ,it self , our selves .

Demonstrative pronouns :
Those pronouns which point out the objects
to which they refer .
eg : this , that , these , those , it etc...........................

Distributive pronoun :
Those pronouns which shows that the person or
things are taken singly or in separate groups .
eg : each , either , neither etc .....................

Indefinite pronoun :
Those pronouns which refer to a person or persons
and a thing or things , in general way and not to a perticular person or thing .
eg : some, some one ,one , any body , no body , few , many ,one , any
etc ..................

Relative pronoun :
Those pronouns which refer to some nouns used before
it and at same time join two sentences to gether.
eg : Who , Which , That ,Whose ,Whom ,etc......................
Interrogative pronouns :
Those pronouns which are used for asking
question .
eg : who , whose , which , what , etc........................

( VERB )
Verb :
Verb is a word which shows the meaning of having being or doing of noun or
pronoun in the sentence
eg : open, close, draw , come , etc.......................

(KINDS OF VERB)
There are two(2) kinds of verv
i : Transitive verb
ii : Intransitive verb

Transitive verb :
Transitive verb is a verb that denots an action which
passes over from the doer "subject" to an "object" .
eg : She plucks the flower .
Mother killed a snake .
Intransitive verb :
Intransitive verb is a verb that denots an action which
does not pass over to an object .
eg :She smiles , They weep , etc......................

(AN ADVERB)

An Adverb :
An Adverb is a word which shows the meaning of time, place
,manners, yes or no in the sentence .
eg : Tomorrow , Today , here , there , fastly , slowly ,softly
etc .........................

(KINDS OF AN ADVERB)
There are seven kinds of an adverb .
i-Adverb of manner
ii-Adverb of place
iii-Adverb of time
iv-Adverb of frequency
v-Adverb of degree
vi-Relative Adverb
vii-Interrogative Adverb

Adverb of manner :
It tells about the manner of some action how it
look place.
eg : I ran fastly "or" They eat slowly ,etc.....................
Adverb of place :
It shows where some thing happen .
eg : You will meet me here .
He brought him here ,etc..............

Adverb of time :
It show when did some thing happen.
eg :They will come tomorrow .
We won a match yesterday .
Adverb of frequency :
It shows that how often and how many times a
action takes place .
eg : He is always in time .
We should bursh our teeth twice time in a day .

Adverb of degree :
Such Adverbs which shows the degree of a verb or an
adjective by telling how much or at what degree an action takes place .
eg : Almost , nearly , too quite , absolutely , etc...........................

Relative Adverb :
Such words which shows the relation ship b/w nouns and
connect one sentence to an other sentence .
eg : I visited the house where he lived .
She broke a pen which they wanted .
Interrogative Adverb :
Interrogative Adverb ask about an action .
eg : why is he late ? why, where , when and how ,etc..................

(AN ADJECTIVE )

An Adjective:
An adjective is a word which tells about the quality,
quantity , virtue or vice of noun or pronoun .
eg :good , small , big , clever ,black ,blue , high, slow , low
,etc............................

(KINDS OF AN ADJECTIVE)

There are seven kinds of an adjective .


1- Adjective of quality
2-Adjective of quantity
3-Adjective of number
4-Proper Adjective
5-Demonstrative Adjective
6-Interrogative Adjective
7-Distributive Adjective
Adjective of quality :
It shows the kind or state fo a noun or a pronoun
.
eg : a rich man ,a large room, black cow , fresh milk
etc ..............................

Adjective of quantity :
It shows the quantity of thing , (Material and
abstract only) .
eg :much tea, enough rice , some water ,etc.........................

Adjective of number :
It shows how many and in what order a noun is
taken .
eg : Twelve months, Sixty minutes ,few girls , all man ,most peoples,
etc.................................

Proper Adjective :
Adjective which are formed from proper noun .
eg : Pakistani , Indian , African , etc .................

Demonstrative Adjective :
The adjectives which pointout noun .
eg : this , that , these , those ,, etc ..........................
Interrogative Adjective :
An adjectives which are used to ask
questions .
eg : Which , what , whose , etc........................

Distributive Adjective :
The adjectives which shows that person place or
thing used in a sentence taken singly or separately .
eg : each boy , every man , either pents , neither shirts , etc....................
(CONJUNCTION)
Conjunction :
Conjunction is a word which joins two words two phrases and two
sentences .
eg : And ,Or ,Because ,but ,if ,as ,so ,that ,yet ,either ,or neither or nor .

(PREPOSITION)
Preposition :
pre means before and position means place . Preposition is a
word which is used before a noun or pronoun .
eg :
at,in,on,into,b/w,upon,above,beneath,for,from,to,under,up,by,across,beyond,of,throu
gh,after,etc...........

(INTERJECTION)
Interjection :
An Interjection is a word which express some sudden feelings
,emotions ,sorrows and joys of noun or pronoun .
eg : hurrah ! , oh ! ,alas ! ,aha! , hush! ,bravo !
,etc...................................
(NUMBER )
Number :
The difference between singular and plular in grammer .

NUMBER)
There are two kinds of number .
1- Singular number
2-Plular number

Singular number :
Such a kind of noun denotes one person,place,animal,or
any thing .
eg : pen,fan,banch,boy,girl,cat, etc.....................

Plular number :
Such a kind of noun which denotes more than one
person,place,animal, or any thing .
eg : Bats , Armies , sheep ,Hair , Books , School ,Cows,
etc............................
