1. What are the salient provisions of this Act?
 Section 3 : Definition and Interpretation of Terms
 Section 4 : Categories of Practice
 Secton 5 : Nature and Scope of Practice of Electronics Engineering and Electronics
Technician Professions.
 Section 27. Practice of the Profession. - No person shall offer himself/herself in the
Philippines as, or use the title "Professional Electronics Engineer", "Electronics Engineer" or
"Electronics Technician", as defined in this Act, or use any word, letter figure, or sign
whatsoever, tending to convey the impression that he/she is a Professional Electronics
Engineer, Electronics Engineer or Electronics Technician, or advertise that he/she is qualified
to perform the work of a Professional Electronics Engineer, Electronics Engineer or
Electronics Technician, without holding a valid Certificate of Registration and a valid
Professional Identification Card in accordance with this Act, except as provided under Section
26 hereof.
 Section 28. Prohibitions and Limitations on the Practice of Electronics Engineering and
Electronics Technician Profession. - Unless otherwise prescribed by any supervening law, the
practice of electronics engineering and electronics technician shall be a professional service,
admission to which must be determined on the basis of the individual's personal qualifications.
Hence, no firm, company, partnership, association or corporation may be registered or
licensed as such for the practice of electronics engineering and electronics technician.
However, persons properly registered and licensed as Professional Electronics Engineers,
Electronics Engineers or Electronics Technicians may, among themselves or with any other
allied professionals, form a partnership or association or corporation and collectively render
services as such: Provided, That individual members of such partnerships or associations or
corporations shall be responsible for their own respective acts.
 Section 30. Code of Ethics and Code of Technical Standards of Practice. - The Board shall
adopt a Code of Ethics and the Code of Technical Standards of Practice for Electronics
Engineers and Electronics Technicians, which shall be promulgated by the Accredited
Professional Organization.

2. Do you think this Act helps people to promote the development of the ECE Profession?
Yes, because this act focuses on providing a responsive and comprehensive regulation for
the registration, licensing and practice of professional electronics engineers, electronics engineers
and electronics technicians. With this act, there will be awareness and acknowledgement of ECE,
PECE and also ECT by such way that this act contains the substance of what an electronics
engineer can do.

3. What are the benefits that an ECE will gain from this law?
A registered ECE, PECE and ECT will gain a proper etiquette knowing the respective
regulation concerning on the application of license, rules regarding to the filling of renewal of
license and its validity. This law also informs engineers the violations which must be prevented
from commiting.

4. Are there any negative implications in this Act as far as the ECE profession is concerned?
No, because this act stated consequential penalties under article 6 where a person can be
fined up to one million pesos, he or she violates any of the declared premonitions.

5. How would you access the impact of this law to your future career? To the national economy?
As citizen of the Phils.? to your family? As a student?
This law is a guide essential in achieving my career as an electronics engineer such that it
provides necessary instructions, regulation and information concerning on the requirements
needed in the application for board examination. Also, learning the basic terms and jargons which
are used and applied when working. As for the national economy, this law assist people on how to
behave and informed penalties in which accumulated fines are collected by the national treasurer
for economic purposes. As a citizen of this country, this law molded my ethics and etiquette as an
aspiring engineer in the future. This law provided much more needed regulation on what should I
do and cannot do.
