DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Monitoring the on‐going daily construction activities.

 Reviewing the construction method statements and making comments per
project specifications, procedures & ITPs.
 Regular site visits for foreseeing the potential deficiencies based on his physical
experience to share with construction crew.

 Coordination with Clients inspectors for getting the feedback for open log book
entries and preparations of corrective actions to close those violations.

ROTATING EQUIPMENT INSPECTION:

STATIC EQUIPMENT INSPECTION:

 Static Equipment inspection for Columns /Towers, Drums, Exchangers, Filters, Reactors
each phase of construction to start-up.
 Check Static / Rotating arrive at site shall have each equipment tag number and name
plate. Visual inspection for any damage cause during transportation. Dimensional
inspections per design order.
 Verify the erection of equipments such as Columns /Towers, Drums, Exchangers, Filters,
Reactors and other equipment if they follow the Method of Statement.
 Prior to Grouting: anchor bolts, leveling, elevation checking, orientation of foundation,
orientation of equipment, plumpness of static equipment’s.
 Check the shimming requirements for static equipment as per project specification.
 Before Alignment of Vessel need to be check such as pre-watering of foundation, chipping,
Padding, Padding elevation, cleaning and works requirements.
 Columns/towers inspections like tray levelness, tray support ring levelness, bolt torque of
tray fixing clamps, Feeder/distributor pipe levelness and internal cleanliness. Down comers
and weir height checking.
 Checked external attachment such as platforms, ladders, support and instruments are
installed and inspected.
 Prior and ongoing Installation of filter cartridges and demisters inspection.
 Prior to final closure / Box-up of pressure vessels (columns, reactors, heat exchangers and
drums, filters) inspections.
 Final box up activities prior to closure of equipment.
 Flange faces, flange ratings and gaskets size and ratings for static equipment man ways.
 Internal screens checking of reactors prior to box-up and before filling catalyst.
 Bolt torque of static equipment man ways after final box up and bolt tightening of
Foundation anchor bolts and setting bolts.
 Final Visual checklists, update equipment status.
 Reviewed Method of Statement prepared by subcontractors regarding construction
activities that will guide them to Construction Activities.
 Ensure that inspection areas are safe for working with required level of safety.

PERSERVATION INSPECTION:
 Technical requirements for protection of equipment and Associated materials.
 Material and Equipment Protection and Preservation Plan.
 Equipment and Material Protection from the time the item is being prepared for shipping
at the source (by the manufacturer or at Vendor Shop), through shipping, site
delivery/storage, and installation and/or the Lay down Area

handling/receiving of all deliveries to the site Coordinate with the preservation engineer
for proper storage.

PIPING INSPECTION:

 Review of piping P&ID and isometric drawings, line check and completion of test packs.
 Confirm the piping system concurs with flow diagrams to verify completeness of system.
 Verify piping and equipment pressure test punch list. Ensure correction or completion of
punch list items.
 Prepare RFI according to the approve ITP and arrange for submission to the client for
inspection as per schedule.
 Ensure that all required NDE shall be performed prior to final system hydro/ pneumatic
testing unless otherwise specified by engineering.

TANKS & WELIDNG INSPECTION:

Responsibilities of Tanks and Welding.

 All installed equipment inspected the location, orientation, elevation.
 Prior to Erection Perform Inspection activities, (Inspection before and after installation)
prior to Grouting leveling, elevation and Location checking of Tanks.
 Monitor fabricated and erected products for conformance with applicable codes,
standards and Contract Requirements
 Visual and Dimensional inspection for layout carried out according to Tanks as per
API 650
 Inspecting Roundness, Plumpness and Levelness of the Tanks as per API 650
 Inspection of Peaking and Banding and also known to check the Templates used for
this inspection of the Tanks
 Ensure that NDT equipments are calibrated before using and during using also
 Ensuring the Levelness of the foundation before erection of the Tanks
 Inspection of Fabrication & Erection of Storage Tanks
