ERPAT What is ERPAT?
- Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal
Abilities
- Father- most often serve as shadow-figure
in the family.
-means becoming an active partner in
assuming the major educational role in child
growth and development
- is taking an active interest of your child’s
growth social, emotional, physical and
spiritual development.
- is a lifelong process
Importance of Father Image in the child
- Primary source of influence to children
- Father’s special participation contributes to
the well-rounded development of their
children
- Sows the seeds of wholesome masculinity in
his son
- Teaches healthy acceptance of the male
gender identity to son by learning to acquire
positive acceptance of himself as masculine
- Provides the unique kind of stimulation that
only fathers can offer.
- Enhancing intellectual development of
children.
- Provides a model of manhood or male gender
which to base son’s emerging identity.
ERPAT aims to engage fathers to
become effective and responsive.
It gives importance and emphasis
on father’s paternal roles,
responsibilities. It aims to achieve
shared parenting to achieve
shared parenting tasks in the
performance familial
responsibilities.
-Father’s special participation on
the rearing of children,
contributes to the well-rounded
development of their children.
- Extra love and attention they
get from having a closely
involved father as well as close
and loving mother provide/lead a
child to develop social skills
ahead of their schedule. How
important is your presence to
your children as their own
childhood experiences. But they
likewise are not sure of what
they should do.

Roles of Father in the Family

- Affection, companionship and understanding

- Moral guidance, self-discipline and religious
instructions.
- Supervision, activities and recreation
- Inculcate positive values
- Stimulate interest in civic affairs
- Set a good example
- Provide adequate support
Fatherhood means spending more of his vacant
time with the child
-There is a shift of values and priorities. Fathers
now stay more at home and spend time alone
with the child to meet the demands of childcare
instead of staying outside with friends.
- Father also need to insure that they still have a
momentary space, peace and quiet for himself to
nurture his own sense of individuality.

VAWC What is VAWC?

-Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children
Act R.A 9262
1. Physical-include bodily or physical harm
2. Sexual Violence-Refers to an act which is
sexual in nature, committed against a woman or
her child
3. Psychological violence – refers to acts or
omissions causing or likely to cause mental or
emotional suffering of the victim
4. Economic Abuse – refers to acts that make or
attempt to make a woman financially dependent

BPO-Barangay Protection Order- with-in 15 days

- Shall follow the rules on venue under section
409
TPO- Temporary Protection Order-30 days
PPO-Permanent Protection Order-refers to
protection order issued by the court after notice
and hearing.
- TPO and PPO maybe filed in the regional trial
court
- Brgy officials and court personnel shall assist
applicants in the preparation of application
HOW to apply a Protection Order must be in
writing, signed and verified under the oath by
the applicant
- It may be filed as an independent action or as
an incidental relief in any civil or criminal case
the subject mattes or issues.
