Context: You are the Human Resource Manager at Guardian, a drug store that is preparing to open
new stores in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar initially.
Each store will require about fifteen clerks. Your recruiting efforts have been successful and each store
has attracted about 100 applicants for those fifteen jobs. The clerks are supposed to maintain cash
register, offer friendly assistance to customers, reports for work punctually and run the store
independently. They must be conversant with drugs being sold, should not have health problems,
thoroughly honest. Recommend a complete selection system for Guardian.

 How will you go about selecting clerks?

 What legal considerations will influence your decisions?
 How many selection devices will you deploy and in what order?
 How much is each selection device likely to cost?
 How will you design appropriate testing tolls to assess the candidate’s properly?
 How will you handle the integrity/honesty/ethics elements while evaluating candidates?
 How do you expect applicants to react to the selection process at Guardian?
