Job Description Head of Finance:-
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of daily transactions.
Monitor purchase and ensure proper ledger input.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close.
Confirmation/ reconciliation of monthly party balance.
Contribute in preparing strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Verify and confirm all bills and voucher.
Maintaining Fixed asset register.
Conduct weekly cash audit & submit report.
Conduct internal financial, inventory & operational audit of the head office, warehouse &
branches of the country of the company and submit reports accordingly.
Prepare and submit monthly profit % loss account, balance sheet & cash flow statement.
Prepare periodic and ad-hoc business reports as per requirement.
Ensure safety and security of account documents and ensure confidentiality of information.
Stay update on the latest VAT & Income Tax lows of Bangladesh, ensuring proper
compliance.
Additional Job Tasks and Responsibilities of a Head of Department:-
Financial - Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and
control operational budgets. Control inventory. Plan effective strategies for the financial well being of
the company.
Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and
implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor
adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
Production - Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production,
warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure
quality of products. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance
of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary.
Communication - Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR,
Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
Sales, Marketing and Customer Service - Manage customer support. Plan and support sales and
marketing activities.
Strategic Input - Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational
activity. Implement and manage operational plans.
HR & Admin
Conduct HR related works such as appointment, confirmation, promotion, placement termination and
service agreements etc with corporate HR & Admin.
Conduct of orientation and training course for the newly recruited employees.
Preparing different presentations, organizational chart & HR related analysis.
Assist Administration tusk such as drafting office order, showcase letter, housekeeping, canteen,
security ctc
.Any others task assigned by the management.
Financial Analysis
1. Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
2. Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
3. Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
4. Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement
activities
5. Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of
company throughput
6. Participate in target costing activities to create products that meeting predetermined price
goals
7. Assist in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor
pricing
8. Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
9. Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash
flow analysis
10. Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
