EXECUTIVE SUMARY:

The internship report at “GILWOOD FASHION PVT.LTD,” deals in order to determine


the efficiency and effectiveness of internship of concerned company.

An operation of a business derives its efficiency and effectiveness from the optimum
internship which acts as a bridge between production and distribution. Internship is a
learning and experience an company environment and skills know about in this
internship.

The internship was conducted for 4 weeks it incudes, starts with an Introduction about
Internship, Industry profile and company, Profile, Back ground, Nature of business, and
its Vision, Mission, Quality Policy, Product /Service profile, Ownership Pattern,
Achievements and Awards and Future growth prospects; Mckinsey’s frame work,
SWOT Analysis’s and the it deals with financial statement analyst’s, learning experience,

Introduction about Internship
Internship means knowing and getting experience of organization activity. In generally
internship means working for a company or organization for certain period of time in order to
get experience about organization activity conducted. Usually internship is carried for certain
period of time like (4weeks) or month. Which conducted in inside environment of company or
organization for getting practical experience and directly deal with company activity and
digging information about internal aspects of company which is cannot get easily and know their
working culture, ethics, procedures by self-experience.

Industry profile
India’s textiles sector is one of the oldest industries in Indian economy dating back
several centuries. Even today, textiles sector is one of the largest contributors to India’s
exports with approximately 15 per cent of total exports. The textiles industry is also
labour intensive and is one of the largest employers. The textile industry has two broad
segments. First, the unorganized sector consists of handloom, handicrafts and sericulture,
which are operated on as small scale and through traditional tools and methods. The
second is the organized sector consisting of spinning, apparel and garments segment
which apply modern machinery and techniques such as economies of scale.

From in modest beginning in 2007, just one production unit, Gilwood Fashion Pvt.Ltd
(GFPL) has now evolved into Rs. 40 crores groups manufacturing apparels – an
upcoming own brands for Indian market in young men’s and boy’s shirts, pants, shirts
and jackets. an aggressive phase of expansion during the last 5 years has brought us to
where we are today – India’s known domestic apparel Brands with Two production
facilities in Bangalore and one at Maddur in Mandya district of Karnataka. Always GFPL
remains committed to provide equality products and services to all customers at all times.

Mandya state of the art unit with most modern facilities & complains with 800 machines.

MC KINSEY `S 7S FRAMEWORK
The management model is developed by well-known business consultants Robert H. Waterman, jr
and Tom peters. This model is most often used as an organizational analysis tool to assess and
monitor changes in the internal situation of an organization.
The research regarding strategy implementation which was conducted by a consulting firm
McKinsey & Company, led to formulating of the so-called "7-S" model, which shows six distinct
but interrelated variables that are the focus of each process of change implementation. The
McKinsey "7-S" framework gives the frame of seven separate variables that are interrelated and
must be the focus of a process of change management.

undertaking activities. This also help to make changes and in fact it very helpful while taking
important decision in organization system followed by GFPL Industries.

Ratio analysis is an important and powerful technique or method. Generally used for analysis of
financial statements. Ratios are used a yardstick for evaluating the financial condition and
performance of a firm. Analysis and interpretation of various accounting ratios gives a better
understanding of financial condition and performance of the firm in a better manner than the
perusal and financial statements.

endeavour.
 The university has given me an opportunity to learn many aspects pertaining to the working of the
organization. The objective of the project is to study the structure, style, system, skill, strategy, staff,
shared values and functioning of various departments.
 The company has implemented well designed performance management system in the organization
that helps for the appraisal of the employees which motivates the employees to do the job more
effectively and efficiently which helps for his carrier and personal development
 To conclude this report has given me practical exposure in the study of organization, it was a great
experience where I learned many things about the functioning of an organization in accordance with
the present market trend.
 The main purpose of the organization study is to make students acquainted with the theoretical
