IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Pre- assessment. “What you know”
presenting the new lesson Ask the students to share their knowledge about arts. The teacher will post the list of
different artworks. Ask the process of making of the following arts and share it to the
class.
 Paper cutting
 Weaving
 Painting
 Sculpture
 Wood carving
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson GROUPINGS: FIXING A BROKEN ART.
The class will be grouped into four. The teacher will distribute puzzle pictures of
Luzon arts and crafts to each group. Let the group solve the puzzle and identify name
and its origin of the given arts. Assign student to share their output in class.
C. Presenting examples/ instances of the Crossword puzzle: Let the students answer the crossword puzzle about arts and craft
new lesson of Luzon using the guide questions.

D. Discussing new concepts and Processing questions: Ask a volunteer to answer the following questions
practicing new skills #1 1. Why arts are important parts of our daily life?
2. What can you say about the characteristics of arts and crafts of Luzon?
3. What are the common arts available in Luzon?
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing Individual activity: Gallery walk
new skills #2 The teacher will posted the following arts of Luzon (e.g., papier mâché [taka] from
Paete, Ifugao wood sculptures [bul’ul], Cordillera jewelry and pottery, tattoo, and
Ilocos weaving and pottery [burnay], etc.)
Let the students:
1. Name different arts and crafts coming from different places in Luzon.
2. Describe their physical features, attributes and use.
Note: Teachers can use their own local arts and crafts as an example.
F. Developing mastery Base on the previous activity let the students choose one art and analyse the elements
(Leads to Formative Assessment 3) and principle of the chosen art from Luzon.
