Strengths

- They have the largest market share in there respective market of action cameras (In the US,
GoPro captured 89% unit share and 97% dollar share of the action camera category in

- Strong and recognizable brand, which is advantageous when it comes to expansion/introduction
of products
- Known for their high quality and durability on their cameras

Weaknesses

- There business structure relies heavily on the sales of their cameras.


- Accessories they produce, and sell are exclusive to their own products
- Lack of diverse product lines
- They charge a high price for their products

Opportunities

- They have a strong presence within their respect action camera market
- A strong social media presence (people post videos they made with their products)
- Expanding more into the drone market

Threats

- high competition (apart from the action camera market, they still have to worry about camera
producers and phones with increasing camera quality)
- The Camera and film industry is slowly declining, as the market becomes more saturated. People
are beginning to choose smart phones with cameras of equal or less quality as they provide
more functions.
