ABSTRACT

Lung cancer is malignancy disease and major cause of mortality around the world. Lung
cancer need multimodality therapy such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Chemotherapy cause cardiotoxicity. Many cardiac dysfunction induced by several
chemotherapy agent. Anthracycline such as doxorubicine is most frequently chemotherapy
agent which can cause cardiomyopathy and heart failure. Management Early diagnosis is
difficult and important to prevent progressive and irreversible cardiac injury due to
chemoterapy agents. A number of conditions related to chronic liver disease such as cirrhosis
of the liver, hepatopulmonary syndrome, portopulmonary syndrome, primary biliary
cirrhosis, the use of interferon therapy and hepatitis C virus have been examined to cause
lung function disorder. Chronic liver disease also cause a decrease in liver function test and
caused by variety of abnormalities pulmonary function such as obstruction disorder,
restriction, intrapulmonary shunt, decreased volume of the chest cavity, decreased diffusion
capacity, decreased in ventilation capacity, dilatation of blood vessels pulmonary ventilation
perfusion imbalance ratio, hypoxemia, respiratory alkalosis, interruption of gas exchange
and alveolar arterial membrane changes. The number of people suffering from lung
abnormalities due to chronic liver disease is not known specifically for patients with liver
disease due to lack of lung examination in such patients.
