LESSON PLAN IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION 8
SEPTEMBER 18, 2018

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
 Execute the basketball drills: Dribbling, Shooting and Passing;
 Review the different basketball drill; and
 Appreciate the healthy benefit of playing basketball.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

III. PROCEDURES
A. ROUTINARY ACTIVITIES (5 minutes)
 Checking of Attendance
 Checking of Sitting Arrangement and classroom cleanliness

B. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES (3 minutes)


Teacher will ask the students on the basic details of basketball:
a. Who invented basketball?
b. Why did he invent basketball?
c. What are the equipment needed in playing basketball?

C. LEARNING ACTIVITIES (30 minutes)


1. Knowledge
Activity # 1: PICTURE PROMPT
Teacher will show different picture associated to basketball drill such as:

A. BOUNCE PASS B. CHEST PASS C. SHOOTING


Then, students must identify each and describe how it is done.
2. Process: JUST DO IT!
Each Student must successfully execute the drills in basketball by going through
different stations: SCORE
STATION 1: CHEST PASS AND BOUNCE PASS 2
STATION 2: DRIBBLING 2
STATION 3: SHOOTING 3

A student will be graded according to the station passed and task successfully
executed.
 The class will be divided into two groups with equal number of students each
group. One student from group one will start by passing the ball to another
student from group two through chest and bounce pass then he/ she will
proceed to station two which is dribbling along the cones. Afterwards, he/she
must shoot the ball. Each student will be scored according to the task that they
have successfully executed. Two points for passing station, two points for
dribbling station and three points for shooting station.
 Each student can get a high score of 7 if he/ she completed the task
successfully.

3. Understanding:
After the task, the class will be answering a survey on the activity that they have
completed.

Put a check ( ) in the column corresponding to your response to the items indicated
based on how well you did in each drill station.
