When It was just my first day attending this class on a Sunday morning, the emotion that I have felt was
that I am not happy because who would be happy? Having a class on Sunday? But I have realized that
this is what really college life means. On the day that you have introduced us your self I think of what
this class would be. Is my Sunday 8 am class would be worth it?

As a first year student, having class on weekends is very hard for us especially when we are not used to
it and then we also have this class called NSTP. I really don’t know what this is, is it just like any other
typical class? And then I found out what this is, NSTP class is not just typical classroom type of lecturing
but also it helps us to hone ourselves in our different field that we chose to help the community we can
be a CWTS students that helps the community by cleaning the environment and by maintaining the
cleanliness of the community, the students can also be a ROTC students that will help the community by
maintaining the peace and order a d lastly, to be a Literacy student wherein you teach our fellow people
to be educated in reading, writing and even mathematics skills. I have realized that helping has different
forms but still it simply go down in its roots and it is helping the community whether you choose to be a
ROTC or not you could still lend a help. And then as the few Sunday goes by, I have learned so many
things, interacted with different first year college students and enjoyed the class. Some of my friends
says that their NSTP class is boring but why is ours has so much fun? And that hit me, yes a class full of
lectures would be really boring but having a teacher that who would make programs and lectures very
captivating would not really bore us because our teacher would make us feel that he would want us to
learn, he did not just teach us but he teach us by hearts and that would make it different from others.
And I guess, we are really thankful for that.

When the NSTP graduation comes and when my name was called, the memories of our NSTP teacher
lecturing us flashes back and I said to myself, “I’m gonna miss this class so much". I have learned so
many things even just by sitting their and listening to the lectures and that is to be grateful for what you
have. Our teacher made us realize that when we donated some of school material to those who are in
need and that made my heart melt because it made me feel that I have help someone to love education.
He also made us realize that we of all things should love our parents because they are the ones who are
with us in every part of our situation through ups and downs, he also made us realize that we should
also love our friends that he made some activities to hone our social skills in interacting with others and
just by that I could say that he wanted us to treasure the we are in to enjoy life just like the activities
that we played while aiming for our goal, help your friends who are in need and especially to do a team
work because a great team leads to a better path. And these are the things that I will surely miss and as I
go back to my seat wearing my ribbon I whispered to myself, “This class is worth it"
