CAT 777F/G Trunnion Pin Tow Bracket

Installation and Removal

Use and Inspection: TowHaul Trunnion Pin Towing Receivers and Trunnion Pin Assemblies are designed to
tow empty mine haul trucks specific to each purchase contract. In the event the TowHaul Trunnion Pin
Towing Receivers and Trunnion Pin Assemblies are exposed to excessive braking forces (i.e., emergency
braking, equipment incident, etc.), TowHaul requires the components be inspected, including non-
destructive methods, to ensure that the component(s) did not receive any structural damage and is fit for
continued use. If testing shows damage, the damage must be repaired, or components must be replaced
before resuming towing operation.

Notes:

Step 1:
Be sure the truck is locked
out/tagged out, wheels chocked
and all energy sources are
either isolated or removed.

Step 2:
Locate TowHaul Tow Bracket Approximate Weight:
Part#: AS-8507-01. Make sure
all the parts are present this
750 lbs (340 kgs)
includes the main structure and
2 retaining pins.

Step 3:
Remove the 2 retaining pins Approximate Weight:
and lift the Tow Bracket into
place using a forklift. Align the
750 lbs (340 kgs)
truck’s existing tow lugs with
the slots in the Tow Bracket.

Notes:

Step 4:
Once the Tow Bracket is in
position with the holes aligning Approximate Pin Weight:
with one another install the 2 13lbs (6 kgs)
retaining pins, making sure
they are captured by the lock
tang.

Step 5:
Approximate Weight:
To remove the Tow Bracket 750 lbs (340 kgs)
just reverse steps 4 &3.
