How to Know the Pure Cambridge Edition

(PCE) of the King James Bible
This list (see below) of 12 correct readings found in the Authorized King James Bible
came from BibleProtector.com. BibleProtector.com is caretaker of the electronic files
for the Authorized King James Bible, Pure Cambridge Edition (PCE). I have
personally compared several Bibles to this list including the more traditional printings
of the Cambridge and Collins Bibles (the Bible Protector mentions both of these as
traditionally reliable Bibles).

After the King James Bible was published, there was a series of edits, e.g. spelling
corrections. There were King James translators who themselves helped in this task. In
time, English spelling became standardized and edits were made in this area as well.
BibleProtector.com essentially says that there was a time when these things were over
and that we need to go with that extant (available), untainted document.
BibleProtector.com says that they have that document.

Not knowing what the PCE was, when I read my download of the Authorized King
James Bible (PCE) I was highly impressed with it; so impressed that I looked up the
term, "Pure Cambridge Edition" and that is when I found BibleProtector.com. I have
no reason to doubt that the PCE is a pure edition because I have reviewed the
document for myself and have been using it in the classroom and in my personal study
time with an eye for catching any errors. I have found none. I have plenty of reason to
distrust Cambridge Bibles at this time. I just sent one back and the one that I kept had
a dust jacket on it that was putting down the King James Bible. I can't give the quote
because I burned it to ashes. In the end, that $30+ Cambridge [1] failed the test below.

Here are some Bibles that I compared to the test below to determine if they are
good Bibles--

 A hardback Cambridge edition of the Authorized King James Bible (no date
but purchased it new in October 2010, ISBN 9780521163347) passed numbers
1-11 and did not pass number 12 [2]. It says that it is the "large text edition."
 A leather Cambridge edition of the Authorized King James Bible (no date but
purchased it new in October 2010, ISBN 9780521508810) passed numbers 1-
10 and did not pass numbers 11 and 12. It says that it is the "large text
edition." The two Cambridge Bibles did not agree with each other.
  A Collins edition of the Authorized King James Bible (apparently published in
the 1950s) passed numbers 1-4 and 6-12; it did not pass number 5.
 The Thomas Nelson "smallest Bible" edition of the Authorized King James
Bible passed numbers 5, 9, 11, and 12. It did not pass 1-4, 6-8, and 10.
 Our download of the Pure Cambridge Edition of the Authorized King James
Bible that I printed and bound passed numbers 1-12.

This list does not include the other Bibles that we looked at, found that they had
errors, and decided to burn without going through the whole test. With the flood of
errors incessantly gushing out of the dragon's mouth, we must have a standard and
stick with it. We are going with the Pure Cambridge Edition of the Authorized King
James Bible.

HOW TO KNOW THE PURE CAMBRIDGE EDITION OF THE KING

JAMES BIBLE

It is important to have the correct, perfect and final text of the King James Bible, since
there are correctors (e.g. publishers) who have changed some aspects of King James
Bible texts. The final form of the King James Bible is the Pure Cambridge Edition
(circa 1900), which conforms to the following:

1. "or Sheba" not "and Sheba" in Joshua 19:2

2. "sin" not "sins" in 2 Chronicles 33:19
3. "Spirit of God" not "spirit of God" in Job 33:4
4. "whom ye" not "whom he" in Jeremiah 34:16
5. "Spirit of God" not "spirit of God" in Ezekiel 11:24
6. "flieth" not "fleeth" in Nahum 3:16
7. "Spirit" not "spirit" in Matthew 4:1
8. "further" not "farther" in Matthew 26:39
9. "bewrayeth" not "betrayeth" in Matthew 26:73
10. "Spirit" not "spirit" in Mark 1:12
11. "spirit" not "Spirit" in Acts 11:28
12. "spirit" not "Spirit" in 1 John 5:8
