KOCHKLEEN® 260 MEMBRANE CLEANER

Powder, Alkaline Membrane Cleaner – Chlorinated, Low Phosphorus Formula

DESCRIPTION KOCHKLEEN 260 alkaline membrane cleaner specially formulated for hollow-fiber
configurations.

COMPATIBLE Ultrafiltration (UF) and microfiltration (MF) membranes.

MEMBRANES Note: Chlorine-resistant membranes only.

APPLICATIONS KOCHKLEEN 260 membrane cleaner is commonly used in industrial wastewater and general
in–process applications.

ADVANTAGES Improves Membrane Performance

• Formulated and tested by KMS filtration and chemical experts to provide superior
membrane cleaning.
• Improves membrane performance and maximizes production capabilities by loosening,
dissolving and effectively removing the membrane fouling layer.
• Removes fats, proteins and other organic foulants.
Provides Cost Savings
• Concentrated formula promotes low use cost at recommended levels.
• Dispensable liquid that readily mixes with aqueous solutions to reduce handling and
cleaning time.
• Formulation maximizes membrane life by avoiding high alkaline concentration spikes
during cleaning chemicals addition.
• Free-rinsing action. Surfactant-free formulation reduces cleaning cycle time and water
use.
Safe to Use
• Pre-weighed packages minimize user contact.
• Environmentally responsible, LOW-PHOSPHORUS formulation that often translates into
reduced wastewater surcharges.
• Compatible with alkaline and oxygenated KOCHKLEEN membrane cleaners enabling use
over a wide range of membrane applications and operating parameters.

USE • For typical cleaning-in-place (CIP) applications, use 1.0% (w/w) KOCHKLEEN 260
INSTRUCTIONS membrane cleaner depending on membrane pH tolerance.
• Check and record pH after 5 minutes. If needed, add more KOCHKLEEN 260 membrane
cleaner to maintain desired pH.
• Circulate as required and recommended by KMS.
• Always consult the membrane manufacturer for specific procedures.

Refer to your Systems operating Manual or contact KMS Chemicals Group at 800-343-0499,
