Dear Comrade,

As you know the industrialization, urbanization have brought development and made
our life better communication, connectivity have improved, people have got
employment, better market for quality goods and many other facilities but the same
on the other has resulted the various climate related problems, Natural Disaster like
Flood, Tsunami, Earthquake, Draught, GlobalWarming etc"

Climate change has become central point of discussion at national and various
lnternational Forums"

lnternational Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) is very actively working on the issue.
It is estimated that more than 72 Million Jobs are likely to be lost due to increase in
Temperature on the other side hold climate actions may'generate more than 65
Million Jobs and avoid more than 700000 premature deaths from air pollution.

Please find attached an appeal from General Secretary, ITUC to observe "Global
Day of work place Action to climate" on 26th June, 2019.

You are requested to advice all affiliates to organize mass meeting, demonstrations,
seminars on 26th June, 2019 and ask their employers how they are climate proofing
their operations. Cooperate your employer in any action for making jobs climate
friendly with securing workers interest"

You are also requested to send the report of the actions along with photographs and
Press clippings if any to this office immediately after the event to get due coverage in
HMS Bulletin.
