Government Tool Room & Training Centre a globally acclaimed Tool Room and Training centre is a joint venture of Government of Karnataka and DANIDA, Government of Denmark, established in the year 1972, is situated in a campus at Rajajinagar, Industrial Estate, Bangalore. Government of Karnataka has established 20 GTTC centres to provide skilled manpower and technical services to the existing and emerging Industries “GITC has trained more than 53000 candidates in various long & short term Skill Development Training Programmes.” The Main activities of the GTTC can be classified as follows: + Offering Hands On-Long Term, Short Te rm and Need based Training Programmes + Design and Manufacturing of Press Tools, Dies for Metals & Plastics, Jigs & Fixtures etc, + Manufacturing of Critical and Precision components for Aeronautical and Defence Sectors etc, Facilities: GTTC has state - of - the - art sophisticated manufacturing facilities such as 3 to 5 axis high speed CNC Machining Centers, CNC Turning Machines, CNC Tum - Mill centres, CNC Jig Grinding, CNC Spark Erosion, CNC Wire EDM, CMM, Profile Projector, High Power Lasers for Cutting & Engraving and other conventional supporting machinery and equipments. Power Press, Plastic Injection molding Machines and Pressure Die Casting Machine for component production Long - Term Courses: The centre is conducting following unique and specialised Industry driven courses these courses are approved by Government of Kamataka and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) The medium of instruction is English Diploma in Tool & Die Making: Diploma in Tool & Die Making course is a specialized course, the course curriculum is structured in such a way that focused attention has been given to learning in specific areas of tool engineering. Students are exposed in design and manufacturing of Press Tools, Plastic Moulds, Jigs & Fixtures with hands- on - job training on latest CAD/CAM Softwares & Manufacturing facilities. GIIC- A Gale way fo Technical Skills The course is being offered at all 20 GTTC centres across the State. The specialty of this course is emphasised on 'two way learning’ process in the best traditions of teaching - learning process. Diploma in Precision Manufacturing: GTTC is offering specialised Diploma course in Precision Manufacturing, the curriculum is designed in two way leaming process and it provides hands on exposure to trainees in precision components manufacturing, process / techniques through CAD/CAM with CNC manufacturing applications. The course is focused to fulfill the needs of Precision Engineering Industries, Aerospace and allied Engineering sectors. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This course is exclusively offered for Girls at Bangalore Centre only with the intake of 50 students. The course curriculum is as per DTE, Karnataka guidelines. However several augmented learning schedules have been added along with the prescribed curriculum thus making this course not only attractive and highly inspiring Placement record has been close to 100% since its inception about a decade and half back with many of its students climbing up in their professional life as most successful entrepreneurs thus answering the women empowerment philosophy of our country at large. A student upon getting admission to first year Diploma course in : Tool & Die Making / Precision Manufacturing / Mechatronics and on payment of prescribed course fee, if wishes to discontinue the course without attending single Classis eligible forrefund of 50% firstinstallment course fee. If a student wishes to discontinue the course within one ‘month from the date of commencement of course is eligible for refund of 40% course fee.
