Guidelines for the MIS project presentation/submission

1. Identify ONE among the following emerging themes and identify a specific
project under these themes
a. Intelligent public transport systems - Smart mobility in India
b. Smart villages - Increasing technology reach to narrow the connect
between rural and urban in India
c. India currently Holds 43rd rank in IMD World Competitiveness
Rankings-2019 - Improving Digital Literacy in India.
d. Digitalizing healthcare - Smart health management
e. Using technology for safe commute in India (accident prevention and
post-accident attention)
f. Digital Technology upliftment in MSME (Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises)
g. Role of technology in improving energy sources / energy creation
(sustainability)
h. Critical role of technology in redefining customer service
2. The entire project exercise is to develop your skills for relevant data collection,
data assimilation, data extraction, data interpretation and meaningful data
presentation to different stakeholders
a. Teams are welcome to choose any LIVE issue from any relevant
organization as well corresponding to these themes.
b. Teams need to search for relevant data from different sources (You have
Gartner access as one primary source) specific to their project identified
c. Analyze multiple views of relevant data and present their OWN insights
(Predictive Analysis) followed by their suggestions based on the data and
insights (Prescriptive Analysis) stakeholder-wise. So during data
collection and assimilation, you need to identify various stakeholders as
well.
3. NO TWO team are allowed to take same project across ALL the FOUR
sections
a. Your project should be unique across all groups of all 4 sections
b. 16-17 project topics (choose any theme among the 8 themes above) for
each section. So I total around 64-68 project titles.

2. Each team member has to bring out TWO 2019
different objectives/goals/QUESTION/relevance
of the project - meaning why is this problem
important to be studied and discussed
2 Mid-course Submission which should include before 11.59 4
minimum 1500 words on the progress of the PM of 29th
project - data collected, analyzed etc.. So far. This AUGUST
also should clearly include pending project 2019
activities planned to completed before end of the
course
(Highlight the contribution of each team member
explicitly based on which scoring will be done)
3 Final report submission minimum 4000 words. before 11.59 10
Report should include (not limited to) PM of 12th
1. Background SEPTEMBER
2. Objectives 2019
3. Presentation of the project including data
collection, analysis, interpretation and findings
4. You could improve your scores if you have
your OWN visualizations and data presentations
(Highlight the contribution of each team member
explicitly based on which scoring will be done)
4 TOP 5 teams from each section will present their 17th 2
project in class. (Max 8 mins for each SEPTEMBER
presentation and 4 mins for Q&A) 2019 in class
(TOP 5 teams will be announced by 11.59 PM of
14th SEPTEMBER 2019)
