Final Report
on
Training Completion
in
Generation / Mechanical
FY 2063/64
Introduction
Large proportion of the employees in Nepal Electricity Authority is working in the
Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Centers. Producing hydro- electric power
in power plants is limited to remote areas and there is no easy access to the city and towns
for consulting any kinds of support and marketing of essential spare parts. Repair and
maintenance of power stations is a vital hob for the continue and successful production of
the power as well. The operation and maintenance of power station depends upon the
qualification, skill and motivation of the technicians working in the particular workstations.

To update the technicians in their jobs, Nepal Electricity Authority Training center
has launched a number of training based on the operation and maintenance of power
stations including some specific maintenance trainings as well. The trainings were
conducted for technician having civil, mechanical and electrical background. The trainees
were focused in training common and minor technical problems that can be solved by the
technicians in their workstation if the essential tools and equipment is available. To tackle
the problems training the proper technicians can minimize being observed in the working
period. Using basic hand tools and other machines can solve almost maintenance problems.
Training Center has trained the technician for identifying the problem frequently
encountered and its maintenance including its operation and maintenance of various
methods. Starting from the theoretical concept, different practical aspects and visualizations
were made to understand the different cases. The trainees were introduced about the
components that are used and also about the problems frequently occurring and their
troubleshooting. A number of field visits were made to sharpen the knowledge of the
trainees.

The training programs conducted in fiscal year 2063/64 is illustrated here under.
1. Operation and Maintenance of H/P Station Advance:

Introduction:
