INSTRUCTION: Create a conversation with your classmate according to the


following information:

1.- ROLE PLAYING RUNNING TIME: 1-2 minutes


2- CONTEXT: the conversation takes place at thePlaza Hotel reception.
3.- ROLES: a guest and a receptionist
4.- LANGUAGE USE: you need to ask and answer these personal questions con-
cerning the following information:

a) Full name
b) Spelling the last name
c) Age
d) Country of origin

5.- LANGUAGE TIPS:

Welcome to ... - Good morning - how are you ? - What’s your ….? How do you
spell your ….?

6.- STUDENTS’ TASKS:

STUDENT A: (the guest)

Greet the receptionist and tell her/himyou want to check-in. Answer the re-
ceptionist’s questions aboutpersonal information, receive your hotel
roomkey and say goodbye to her/him.

STUDENT B: (the receptionist)

Greet the guest. He/She tells you he /she wants to check- in at the hotel. Ask
this person all necessary personal information questions to fill in a form,give
him/her room key and say goodbye.

6.- STUDENTS’ TASKS:

STUDENT A:

You’re in your Mathematics classroom when you see a new student. Before
starting the class greetyour new classmate, ask him/ her some questions
about personal information and say goodbye to her/him.

STUDENT B:

You’re a new student at Inacap. You’re in the Mathematics classroom when a


classmate greets you. Greet your classmate and answer his /her questions
personal about personal informationand say goodbye to him/her.

INSTRUCTION: you have 7 minutes to create a conversation with your classmate according
to the following information:

1.- ROLE PLAYING RUNNING TIME: 1-2 minutes


2- CONTEXT: the conversation takes place at a gym reception.
3.- ROLES: a new gym member and a gym receptionist
4.- LANGUAGE USE: you need to ask and answer these personal questions concerning this in-
formation:

a) full name
b) spelling the first name
c) ID card number
d) residence

5.- LANGUAGE TIPS:

Good morning - how are you ? - What’s your ….? How do you spell your ….?

6.- STUDENTS’ TASKS:


STUDENT A: (the new gym member)
Greet the gym receptionist and tell him/ her you want to be a member of the gym.
Answer the receptionist’s questions concerning personal information, say thank
you when you receive the gym pass and say goodbye to the receptionist.

STUDENT B: (the gym receptionist)

Greet a new gym user. He/ She tells you he /she wants to be a member of the gym.
Ask this person all necessary personal information questions, say thank you, give
the gym pass to the new gym member and say goodbye to finish the conversation.

Greet the librarian and tell him/ her you want to be a member of the library.
Answer the librarian’s questions concerning personal information, say thank
you when you receive the library membership card and say goodbye to the
librarian.

STUDENT B: (the librarian)


Greet a library user. He/ She tells you he /she wants to be a member of the
library. Ask this person all necessary personal information questions, say
thank you, give the library membership card to the new library and say good-
bye to finish the conversation.
