 PREFACE

This report has been written for partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of
bachelor of sciences in computer sciences.

The first phase of this report is composed of background of the study, purpose of the
study, objectives of the internship, significance of the internship, benefits of internship. In
the next part, there is detail discussion on PTCL which comprise of background of the
organization, historical background, corporate vision, mission, core values, objectives of
the PTCL, current board of directors, main offices, products of PTCL. In the next phase
there is detail on my Internship work and on the website which I used to work on during
my internship in PTCL Kohat. In the next part, there is SWOT analysis of PTCL Kohat in
my opinion by which they can improve their organization. The next part of this report
comprises of the recommendations and conclusion and at the last I have cited the
references.

report on PTCL (Pakistan telecommunication company limited), Kohat. I am great full to
my worthy and devoted teacher Muzamil Hussain (Sub Division Officer at PTCL, Kohat)
for providing me the opportunity of doing Internship in PTCL as well as for providing me
the necessary information regarding the Internship. I would like to express my special
thanks towards my teacher Sania Zaheer Ali (Lecturer, Management Sciences at Preston

 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Pakistan Telecommunication Company limited is a well-reputed organization and is a

leading organization of Pakistan. Since its establishment, it has expended its network to
great extent. Strong and efficient telecom sector is the basic requirements of any country.
One of these companies is PTCL. No one can deny the role of PTCL to survive in the
current scenario of the world. Globalization, industrialization and technological
advancement are very necessary to speed up in fast lane. For flexible economy there must
be a flexible telecom organization working in flexible and independent way.

This report aims at appraising the working of PTCL, its functions and operation and also
attempts to assess its performance. Certain recommendations are presented for the
potential areas of improvement.
