The Seattle Park District and Real Estate Excise Tax are providing funding to improve ADA accessibility at Alki Beach Bathhouse and Park from September 2019 to January 2020. AND PARK ADA IMPROVEMENTS Proposed Project The Seattle Park District and Real Estate Excise Tax provided funding for American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility improvements to the bathhouse building, the 63rd St. Comfort Station and surrounding park paths and paved areas to bring into compliance with current accessibility requirements and address U.S. Dept. of Justice ADA citations as well as other barriers to accessibility identified. The planned construction period is September 2019 to January 2020. Anticipated Impacts Portions of the park and paths will be temporarily closed. The restrooms will also be temporarily closed and portable toilets will be provided. .
