IMPLEMENTATION OF LOW POWER VEDIC MULTIPLIER FOR FIR FILTER IN

MAC APPLICATION
ABSTRACT
Finite impulse response (FIR) filter is one of the important components in any
DSP and communication systems. The output from the DSP processor depends on the FIR filter,
so need an efficient FIR filter design, to achieve an efficient output for FIR filter in MAC unit
application. Filter architecture contains many components; main components are multipliers and
adders. Different types of multipliers are available in the digital circuits, but need an efficient
multiplier design to get efficient filters. Wallace multiplier was designed and implemented using
verilog HDL. This multiplier needs more power to implement the design. To reduce the
drawback, to propose a efficient multiplier named as Vedic multiplier which overcomes the
existing multiplier drawbacks. Multiplier is designed by verilog HDL in CADENCE, after the
design Wallace tree multiplier is compared with Vedic multiplier, and analyzes the performance
of the multiplier.

WIFI-BASED SMART WIRELESS SENSOR FOR MONITORING AN AGRICULTURE
ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT

The wireless sensor network (WSN) is now a day widely used to build decision
support for overcome many problems in real world. One of the most interesting fields
having an increasing need of decision support systems is precision agriculture (PA). The
purpose of this paper is to design and develop an agricultural monitoring system using
wireless sensor network to increase the productivity and quality of farming without
observing it for all the time manually. Temperature, humidity and water levels are the most
important factors for the productivity, growth, and quality of plants in agriculture. The
temperature, humidity and water level sensors are deployed to gather the temperature and
humidity values. The sensor has to transmit the gathered information through the wireless
communication network to the data server (cloud). The IOT gateway is in charge Of the
communication between the remote control serial devices and central control system. The
farmers or the agriculture experts can observe the measurements from the web
simultaneously. With the continuous monitoring of many environmental parameters, the
grower can analysis the optimal environmental conditions to achieve maximum crop
productiveness, for the better productivity and to achieve remarkable energy savings.

RASPBERRY PI
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to illustrate the implementation of a Voice Command System as an
Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) that can perform numerous tasks or services for an individual.
These tasks or services are based on user input, location awareness, and the ability to access
information from a variety of online sources (such as weather or traffic conditions, news, stock
prices, user schedules, retail prices, telling time, local traffic, travel assistant, events, notification
from social applications plus one can ask questions to the system, invoke its machine learning
otherwise get it from Wikipedia… etc…..).Using Raspberry Pi as a main hardware to implement this
model which works on the primary input of a user’s voice. Using voice as an input to convert into
text using a speech to text engine. The text hence produced was used for query processing and
fetching relevant information. When the information was fetched, it then be converted to speech
using text to speech conversion and the relevant output to the user was given. Additionally, some
extra modules were also implemented which worked on the concept of keyword matching. It can help
the visually impaired to connect with the world by giving them access to Wikipedia, Calculator,
Email and Music all through their voice. This model can also keep people secure as it can be used as
a surveillance system which captures the voice of the person standing at the door and similarity
checking. Also it can be a source of entertainment and information for blind/visually impaired. This
model will interact with other systems by means of IOT, thus provides a fully automated system.
Many experiments and results were accomplished and documented.

A WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK MONITORING SYSTEM FOR

HIGHWAY BRIDGES
ABSTRACT

As wireless smart sensor networks and geographical information systems (GIS) are
evolving nowadays, applications of remote monitoring in wide spread geographical areas are
becoming cost-effective and possible. An example of such applications is the structural health
status monitoring of highway bridges that connect roads in both rural and urban areas. Many of
these bridges are subject to deterioration due to external and internal factors. Online, real-time
structural health monitoring is a resourceful complimentary tool to facilitate rapid field
inspection. Bridge maintenance and infrastructure managers can easily use this application to
safeguard the performance and safety of these vital structures. This system presents an
autonomous wireless sensor network system to monitor structural health in highways bridges.
The proposed system consists of a wireless Wi-Fi, a mobile public network, a structural health
data evaluation, management middleware, a GIS and graphical user interface module. The
sensors in the Wi-Fi gather the bridge health signs and transmit them promptly via the public
mobile networks to the management and evaluation middleware for further processing. Analysis
of testing results and comparisons with existing monitoring systems are also discussed.
Operators can access the bridge real-time data through mobile phone. The system is cost
effective and user friendly.

REGION OF INTEREST OF AGRICULTURE LAND BEFORE AND AFTER DISASTER

BASED ON HISTOGRAM SEGMENTATION
ABSTRACT
At a Glance the Satellite Image is considered as the emerging application to extract the
earth's surface information. This project describes how much percentage of water, land and
forest is present. Generally a satellite image is a high resolution image that covers around 1/3rd
of earth's surface. Here we are going to detect the objects in a image i.e., user satellite image.
Extraction of a particular area in image is very difficult due to having to find the techniques for
Image Segmentation. The systems to identify the ROI focus on forests, water and agriculture
areas. The proposed model is based on Histogram Segmentation to classify the objects in an
image. The Thresholding is performed by considering the histogram mapping to the particular
region of satellite image. The proposed algorithm is based on Histogram segmentation and
Morphological operations. There are seven main steps supporting each other. Histogram
segmentation, Morphological dilation, Morphological erosion, Morphological opening,
Morphological closing, Morphological fill image area and holes and ROI. This algorithm is able
to detect the area of water, sky and forest separately. The imagesegmentation methods can detect
the ROI and reduce the size of the original image by discarding the unnecessary parts.

HAND GESTURE CONTROLLED ROBOT

ABSTRACT

Now a days, robots are playing an important role in automation across all the
sectors like construction, military, medical, manufacturing, etc. The paper describes the design
and implementation of a robot that moves by hand gestures. Therefore, it removes the hassle of
using joysticks or switches. The robot's direction is also controlled by the moment of hand. An
accelerometer/accelerometer with gyroscope has been used that converts different hand
gestures into data signals. The robot has two sections: the transmitting end and the receiving
end. The transmitting end transmits the gesture signals and the receiving end receives them.
The accelerometer works as the sensor as it senses the different gestures made by the hand and
converts them into analog signals which are further converts into digital signals using Arduino
board and encodes the digital signal and then processed and transmitted to the receiving end.
After making some basic robots like line follower robot, computer controlled robot, etc., we have
developed this HAND GESTURE CONTROLLED ROBOT by using Arduino Uno. A transmitting
device is used in your hand which contains RF Transmitter. This will transmit command to robot
so that it can do the required task like moving forward, reverse, turning left, turning right and
stop.

AUTOMATIC SOLAR TRACKER AND AUTO INTENSITY CONTROL

ABSTRACT

This project presents the hardware design and implementation of a system that ensures a
perpendicular profile of the solar panel with the sun in order to extract maximum energy falling
on it. Renewable energy is rapidly gaining importance as an energy resource as fossil fuel prices
fluctuate. The unique feature of the proposed system is that instead of taking the earth as it
reference, it takes the sun as a guiding source. Its active sensor constantly monitors the sunlight
and rotates the panel towards the direction where the intensity of sunlight is maximum. With the
implementation the proposed system the additional energy generated is around 25% to 35%. The
energy generated from the panel can be used for LED based street lights with an auto-intensity
control that uses solar power from photovoltaic cells. In this charge controller circuit is used to
control the charging of the battery and an LDR is used to sense the ambient light on day time. In
this system different parameters like light intensity, voltage, current and temperature are
monitored using a microcontroller. By using the LDR the resistance reduces drastically in the
day light sensing purpose. LED can be replaced with HDL lamp to control the intensity. In this
project, an improvement in the hardware design of the existing solar energy collector system has
been implemented in order to provide higher efficiency power at lower cost and the generated
energy from the solar panel can be distributed to LED’s the light will be kept high during the
peak hours.

WIRELESS ELECTRICAL APPARATUS CONTROLLING
SYSTEM USING RF COMMUNICATION
ABSTRACT

Home automation is a famous and most used technology in the world. The main objective
of the concept is to develop a home automation system with a four button key transmitter by
using RF (Radio Frequency) technology. This four button key transmitter is also very productive
for commercial uses in Industrial and medical systems.
To accomplish the above, it is designed into two parts. Both the parts have individual
toggle type receivers but they work in same frequency. One of these toggle receivers works
individually with some of the home appliances but the other one interfaced to an Arduino UNO
microcontroller to convert the signals from toggle to latching format. Along that we used both
latch and toggle techniques to get the best result. Integrated Development Environment software
has been used to accomplish the programming goal to control the microcontroller, Atmega328
based Arduino UNO.

AUTOMATIC PARKING GARAGE USING RFID
ABSTRACT

Radio Frequency Identification [RFID] system is evolving as a major technology in

Automation System in Malls/Buildings/Industries or in the medical field in order to increase
efficiency and security. Typically RFID comprises of two parts. First is the RFID
reader/Interrogator and the second is the RFID transponder. Transponder may be smart cards or
tags or key chains or any other electronic devices. RFID technology is the advanced method of
barcode method. RFID system uses electromagnetic fields (radio waves) in order to transfer data
for performing automatic detection and tracking of different tags or different objects from some
distance. RFID system is an Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology used
to identify, capture, track and store the data present in the tag. The main objective of this project
is to provide a system with security. In this project we have proposed contactless smart cards in
order to limit the unauthorized vehicles to enter into the parking area. Each card has unique
information stored in it and if it comes nearer to the reader then RFID reader scans the
information present in the card and sends this information to the database (stores the data present
in the tag) and displays the relevant information on LCD. If the reader has details about that tag
in the database then gate is opened automatically for authorized vehicle to enter into the parking
lot. If not gate will be closed. We also have parking lifts. This lift works in a simple way. The
user drives a car into an open slot in the stacks, and raises it to the top and enter into the parking
slot.

IMAGE DE-NOISING & DETECTION OF BRAIN TUMOR WITH
SEGMENTATION PROCESS

ABSTRACT
An unusual mass of tissue in which some cells multiplies and grows uncontrollably is
called brain tumor. It starts growing inside the cell and interpose with the regular functioning of
the brain. It needs to be detected at an early stage using MRI or CT scanned images when it is as
small as possible because the tumor can possibly result to cancer. This project work, mainly
focuses on detecting and localizing the tumor region existing in the brain by proposed
methodology using patient’s MRI images. The proposed methodology consists of three stages i.e.
preprocessing, edge detection and segmentation. Preprocessing stage involves converting
original image into a grayscale image and removes noise if present or crept in. This is followed
by edge detection using sobel algorithms with image enhancement techniques. Next,
segmentation is applied to clearly display the tumor affected in the MRI images. Finally, the
image is clustered using the k-means algorithm. Here we have used matlab for the development
of the project.

OBJECT DETECTION USING TEGRA X2

ABSTRACT

In this project the Convolutional Neural Network and the Region Proposal Network
which share the convolutional features has been worked together which enables to form a
detection network. The region Proposal Network predicts the bounding boxes and produces the
object score. Both the network is trained together to share the convolutional features and has
been tested on the VGG 16 deep network model which produces different types of object classes.
The whole network is trained with large number of images formed together to be called as
dataset. This dataset is being trained under DIGITS framework trained in Caffe2, programmed
under Python language. The entire network is implemented on NVIDIA Jetson TX2 board which
is in turn connected to a webcam in order to capture images and videos.

ABSTRACT
Today’s large demand of internet applications requires data to be transmitted in a
secure manner. Data transmission in public communication system is not secure because of
interception and improper manipulation by eavesdropper. So the attractive solution for this
problem is Steganography, which is the art and science of writing hidden images in such a way
that no one, apart from the sender and intend recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a
form of security through obscurity. Audio steganography is the scheme of hiding the existence of
secret information by concealing it into another medium such as audio file. In this project we
mainly discuss different types of audio steganographic methods, advantages and disadvantages.

WADORO: AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT FOR SURVEILLANCE
ABSTRACT
WADORO (Watch Dog Robot), presents an autonomous mobile robot for house hold
surveillance in open spaces like roof at night, but only shaded areas such as verandah during
daytime. The robot has the capability to detect humans in near real-time round the clock using
passive infrared motion sensors and camera. The work cycle of the robot is divided into phases
of self-protection. On detecting a human it starts tracking to detect the face using Haar like
features based cascade classifier. Subsequent recognition is done using local binary pattern
histograms approach to ascertain if the face matches with the face in database. In case of
mismatch, an alert in the form of phone call to the mobile phone is generated. Self-protection
ensures collision-free movements and prevent it from being stolen by generating an alert call on
detecting its pick up from the ground.

SIGN LANGUAGE TO SPEECH CONVVERSION USING ARDUINO WITH FLEX
SENSORS
ABSTRACT
Technology has always been of great help to the disabled and given them a
helping hand to allow them to live a normal and healthy life like others. We have come up with a
novel idea of a glove named Hand-talk that will convert hand movements into text and allow the
dumb to express themselves better. The Hand-talk needs to be worn on the hand by the dumb or
mute person and depending on the variation of movement; the device will convert it intelligently
into voice for the other person to comprehend it easily. The Hand-talk glove senses the
movements through the flex sensors pads which detect the different patterns of motion and the
way of finger curls. The device can sense carefully each resistance and each movement made by
the hand. Currently the device can convert only few words, but depending on the success of the
device few more additional words may be added later onto this expressive system. The gestures
can be converted into voice by using an APR33A3 voice storage and retrieval chip. Pre-recorded
voices are stored into APR memory and when corresponding gestures are received, the
appropriate voices are reproduced by the APR through the speaker.

REMOTE SENSING AND MONITORING THROUGH IoT BY USING RASPBERRY

Pi

ABSTRACT

In an Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, two things are very important: the Internet and physical
devices like sensors and actuators. The main purpose of sensors is to collect data from the
surrounding environment.

This project presents a robot that remotely senses various parameters of environment such as:
temperature, humidity, fire, gas, etc. in any place where humans cannot enter.

In this case Raspberry Pi environment is chosen because it provides maximum number of GPIO
pins (27) than any other processor, which is also helpful for accurate measurement and for
controlling the robot through cloud anytime anywhere.

HEALTH MONITORING AND RESCUE INFORMATION SYSTEM

USING IoT AND GSM MODULE
ABSTRACT
A health monitoring and rescue information system is an efficient tool that can save human lives. It is
fully configurable and can be developed to your particular needs and requirements, which makes it
useful in monitoring health condition of patients at home or in hospitals. A Health monitoring and
rescue information system is an extension of a hospital medical system where a patient’s vital body
state can be monitored remotely. Traditionally the detection systems were only found in hospitals and
were characterized by huge and complex circuitry which required high power consumption.
Continuous advances in the semiconductor technology industry have led to sensors and
microcontrollers that are smaller in size, faster in operation, low in power consumption and
affordable in cost. Yearly, many people die due to heart attacks and cardio attacks, especially old age
people. Doctors and nurses are not always able to care for a patient while the person is at home. To
overcome this , health monitoring and rescue system is developed. The main objective of the health
monitoring and rescue information system is to monitor patient health condition continuously. If
patient heart beat is low or any problem is detected by sensors, GSM module sends message to the
care taker immediately and to the doctor. The health monitoring system uses heart beat sensor, GAS
sensor, MEMS sensor, temperature sensor to check the health condition of the patient. The health
monitoring and rescue system helps to rescue these patients in emergency situations.

ABSTRACT

In recent years, the reserve bank changes the design of bank notes from time to time,
reserve bank uses several techniques to detect fake currency. Common people face many
problems by fake currency circulation and it is difficult to detect fake currency. Suppose a
common man went to a bank to deposit money but only to see that some of the notes are fake, in
this case he has to take the blame, as banks will not help that person. Proposed system is to help
common man to recognize currency for originality is based on image processing and makes the
process automatic and robust. Shape information are used in proposed system to extract the
various features of currency notes using MATLAB software. The proposed system has
advantages like simplicity and high-performance speed, the results will predict whether the
currency note is fake or not.

TEXT IMAGE TO SPEECH CONVERSION USING MATLAB AND MICROSOFT SAPI

ABSTRACT
Image Text is the text information embedded or written in image of different form. Image text
can be found in captured images, scanned documents, magazines, newspapers, posters etc. These
image texts are highly available nowadays and they are very important in representing,
describing and transferring information which help peoples in communication, solving problems,
availability, creation of new types of jobs, cost effectiveness, productivity, globalization and
cultural gap etc.

The information from these image documents would give higher efficiency and ease of
access if it is converted to text form. The process by which Image Text converted into plain text
is Text Extraction. Text Extraction is useful in information retrieving, searching, editing,
documenting, archiving or reporting of image text. However, variation of these texts due to
differences in size, orientation style, and alignment, text is embedded in complex colored
document images, degraded documents image, low quality image, as well as low image contrast
and complex background make problem text extraction extremely difficult and challenging one.

Different techniques such as Connected Component Method, Mathematical Morphology

Method, Edged Based Method and Texture Based Method have been used previously, but those
all have their own limitations when measured by different parameters like precision, recall and f-
score. In this paper, text extraction from image documents, using combination of the two
powerful methods Connected Component and Edge Based Method, in order to enhance
performance and accuracy of text extraction is discussed and implementation is done by
integrated MATLAB code with MATLAB/Simulink tool. Finally, the extracted and recognized is
converted to speech by using Microsoft SAPI for proper use for visually impaired people

BORDER SECURITY ALERT SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

. Increasing tensions across the Indian and Sri Lankan borders caused much havoc
between the two countries. For example fishermen from our country are being abducted by the
Srilankan navy for crossing the border which is unintentional most of the times.
The existing system collects the geographical location information and will send the
information to the control station.

Our project deals with a system of tracking the location using GPS and when the border is
approached or crossed, the GPS location will be sent to a server from where the information will
be sent to the desired mobile or mail.

Also, in addition to the GPS information sent, the person may send the information whether he is
safe or he is in trouble. And the information can also be sent to the family at regular time
intervals who are in anticipation about their family member's safety.

EMBEDDED WEB SERVER SENSORS MONITORING IN IOT ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT

The changes in climate led to the increased importance of environmental

monitoring. In order to determine the quality of the environment, continuous tracking of the
environmental parameter is needed. As the IoT is the most emerging technology, it plays an
important role in collecting the information from the sensing unit. Generally sensing unit is
composed of different sensors like temperature, humidity, MQ2, LDR, rain sensor, pressure
sensor, fire sensor etc., the paper uses an Arduino UNO, GSM & GPRS module that helps in
processing and transferring the sensed data to the cloud and send the message to the desired
mobile number. Thus the parameters received are stored in the cloud platform. The change in the
environment is updated in the form of a database through the cloud computing method. In this
structure to diminish hold control usage and to make the room successfully controllable with
temperature and other sensors to screen the normal parameters. Sensors like DHT11 sensor,
LDR, MQ2, Rain sensor and pressure sensor are used. These values are monitor in LCD display.
The obtained values are sent to the required mobile number by using Short Message Service
(SMS) and also the values are directly uploaded into the cloud server by using GPRS module.

ARDUINO BASED WAR FIELD SPY ROBOT WITH NIGHT
VISION WIRELESS CAMERA USING ANDROID
APPLICATIONS
ABSTRACT

The wireless communication technologies are rapidly spreading too many new areas,
including the automation and the importance of the use of wireless technologies in the data
acquisition, building control, monitoring systems and automation of manufacturing processes
will grow. Intelligent mobile robots and cooperative multi-agent robotic systems can be very
efficient tools to speed up search and research operations in remote areas.
Our preliminary aim project is developing this robot is for the surveillance of human
activities in the war field or border regions in order to reduce infiltrations from the enemy side.
The robot consists of night vision wireless camera which can transmit videos of the war field in
order to prevent any damage and loss to human life. Military people have a huge risk on their
lives while entering an unknown territory. The robot will serve as an appropriate machine for the
defense sector to reduce the loss of human life and will also prevent illegal activities. It will help
all the military people and armed forces to know the condition of the territory before entering it.
This innovative system is made for operations which involve high risk for humans to enter,
especially for some criminal case and may prove very beneficial for military area for spying
purposes. The whole system is controlled via android application.

MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS ACCESS USING SINGLE ATM CARD

ABSTRACT

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services are more popular because of their flexibility
and easiness for banking systems. People are widely using their ATM cards for immediate money
transfer, cash withdrawal, shopping etc. On most modern ATMs, the ATM card used by the
customer for each bank account. However, password PIN which is the main authentication for
ATM transactions represent the weakest link in the computer security chain. In the proposed
Single ATM card to access multiple banks, we embed more than one bank account into a single
ATM card so that the customer can carry out the financial transactions for multiple bank
accounts. The user need not carry multiple ATM cards and remember multiple passwords. To
provide high security we introduced fingerprint based customer authentication. It reduces the
cost of inter-banking transactions as interfacing different bank databases is a resource consuming
thing.

FOOD CALORIE DETECTION USING IMAGE

PROCESSING

ABSTRACT
Obesity and being overweight have become
growing concerns due to their association with many diseases, several types
cancer heart disease. Thus, obesity treatments have been the focus of a
larger number of recent studies. Because of these studies, researchers have
found that the treatments obesity and being overweight requires constant
monitoring of a patient’s diet. Therefore, measuring food intake each day is
considered an important step in the success of a healthy diet. Measuring
daily food consumption for obese patients is one of the challenges in
obesity management studies. Countless recent studies have suggested that
using technology like smart phones may enhance the under-reporting issue
in dietary intake consumption. We propose a food Recognition system (FRS)
for calories and nutrient values assumption. The user employs the built-in
camera of the smart phones to take a picture of any food before and after
eating. The system than processes and classifies the images to detect the
type of food and portion size, using fuzzy logic for the detection of food
then uses the information of estimate the number of calories in the food.
The estimation and calculation of the food volume and amount of calories
in the images determine.

ARDUINO BASED FIRE FIGHTING ROBOT WITH OBSTACLE

ABSTRACT
The main intension of this project is to propose a robotic vehicle using
multiple sensor to detect the fire and extinguish the flame remotely
through sensor application. Major fire accidents do occur in industries like
nuclear power plants, petroleum refineries, gas tanks, chemical factories
and other large-scale fie industries resulting in serious consequences.
Thousands of people have lost their lives in such incidents. therefore, this
project is developed to control fire through robotic vehicle with the
advancement in the field of robotics, human intervention is becoming less
every day and robots are used widely for purpose of security and safety. In
our day to day life fire accident are very common and sometime it becomes
very difficult to save human life. In such case fire fighting robot comes in
picture to reduce the fire risk in the dangerous situations.
