Following the recent modifications on COPELAND® SCROLL® compressors ZB – ZS

– ZF in 2012 and 2014, CARLY adapts its range of LEVOIL type oil level regulators

1. CARLY LEVOIL® 23 SC2 oil level regulators for COPELAND® ZB – ZS – ZF compressors

The range of LEVOIL® oil level regulators includes now a 7th model, specially dedicated to COPELAND® SCROLL® compressors, types ZB, ZS et ZF, which sight glass has
been modified in May 2012.

Following this technical evolution, CARLY® offers several solutions of oil level regulators type LEVOIL®, with or without adapters type HCYN 1AXX, according to the date of
modification of these compressor sight glasses.

LEVOIL® oil level regulators are to be fitted on the compressor crankcase boss, instead of the original sight glass for oil level monitoring.

For compressors manufactured before May 2012, this sight glass was a model 3/4" – 14 NPTF (see fig. 1)

For compressors manufactured after May 2012, this sight glass is a model 1" 3/4 Rotalock - 12 UNF (see fig. 2)

2. CARLY LEVOIL® 23 SU oil level regulators for COPELAND® ZB – ZF compressors COPELAND® ZB – ZF

The oil level sight glasses have been modified in June 2014 on some COPELAND compressors, types ZB and ZF ; CARLY® offers several solutions of oil level regulators type
LEVOIL®, with or without adapters type HCYN 1AXX, according to the date of modification of these compressor sight glasses :
 For compressors manufactured before June 2014, this sight glass was a model 3/4" internal conicale (see figure 4)

This sight glass has been modified on the following compressors :

ZBD 21 to 45
ZB 15 to 48
K4E/KVE : ZF 06 to 25 and ZFD 18.

3. Advantages of CARLY® LEVOIL® type oil level regulators

LEVOIL 23 SC2 and LEVOIL 23 SU oil level regulators can be installed directly on the compressors with the new sight glasses, without adapter. This does not mean only
money saving but also less time for assembling and a reduction of the risk of potential leaks.

These two regulators work with a ΔP from 1 to 4.5 bar and are delivered with the Rotalock 1” 3/4 gasket ; the oil level is pre-fitted to ½ sight glass.

Like the other models of the range, their original design enables to eliminate the foaming phenomenon inside the regulators. Therefore, the visual information of the oil level
in the sight glass is much more reliable. This valuable advantage is much appreciated from the users since the launching of the LEVOIL® range.
