There are two adjustment pots in the lower right corner of PC Card. These are R-21 (OFF) adjustment
and R-19 (ON) adjustment.
Apply power with driller’s control off. Wait 20 minutes for PC Board electronics to stabilize before
making adjustments.
With your meter, read the TP-1 Red test point on PCB.
Adjust R-21 (OFF) voltage. The voltage at test point TP-1 Red should be 15.8 to 15.85 volts DC.
Now put your driller’s control in the FULL ON Position. The voltage at test point TP-1 Red should be set
to 5.80 to 5.85 volts DC, to get max VDC output to the Brake. If you are using this PC Board on any
Dretech brakes call for special instructions.
You will need to do this setup 2 or 3 times to get the proper OFF and ON setup.
“2 HOURS AFTER POWER IS ON GO BACK AND CHECK TP-1 RED FOR 15.8 VDC”
NOTE: You cannot adjust the DC output to the Brake any higher than approximately 15 Volts DC
lower than the Positive to Negative Bridge voltage in the FULL ON loaded position.
NOTE: On some PWM-CL units you may need to clip 2 wire ties and move the brown wire, to
TP-7 brown, to the left in order to plug in to TP-7 test point.
The PWM system must be hooked up to a brake or the control system cannot be tested or adjusted.
