GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT = (BUILDINGS) TRIPURA SCHEDULE OF RATES CQNTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION WORKS) 2017 GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TRIPURA SCHEDULE OF RATES (INTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION WORKS) 2017 A-B( Blect,) = N“ Public Works Department (Buildings) St wan GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA FOREWORD It gives me immense pleasure to bringing out the Schedule of Rates for Internal | Electrification Works, Tripura 2017, The Schedule of Rates for Internal Electrification Works, | Tripura published by PWD Tripura from time to time is a very comprehensive document and is very | useful in the execution of Electrical Works. This Schedule of Rates 2017 for Internal Electrification | Works is useful not only to the Engineers of PWD, Tripura but also those of other Departments and | Undertakings which follow the PWD, Tripura Schedule of Rates in their works . i : The Schedule of Rates for Internal Electrification Works was first adopted on 1972 from CPWD. Then it was last compiled in 2002 by P.W.D, Tripura. A long period has been elapsed since then and the rates of electrical goods have been changed asymmetrically with technology. For | around 10 years, the Internal Electrification works are carried out mostly on the basis of the \ available tendered rates as well as market rates in the state due to non- availability of appropriate item in the 2002 Schedule, Now it is a little effort to bring the Schedule in line to proportionate to the ‘modern technology as well as the prevailing market rate since the last revision. Accordingly, this Tripura Schedule of Rates (Internal Electrification Works) 2017 has been prepared. The Schedule of Rates is based on the study of current market rates of materials at Tripura collected during January to March 2016 and the current price list of electrical gazettes during 2015 to 2016 of reputed manufacturers. The rates of laborers are based on the rate of current minimum wages issued by the Government of Tripura w.e.f: 02.03.2016. The nomenclature of many items has been improved by making it more generic and comprehensive. The items which became obsolete over a period of time or are not in use have not been included. Some items have been clubbed to facilitate quick measurements. Many new items using latest technology have also been added. ; ; This Schedule of Rates will be read along with PWD Specification for Electrical Works. I would like to take this opportunity to place on record my sincere appreciation and thanks to the team of Engineers and Officials of Internal Electrification Divisions, PWD, Tripura , ‘who have put in all hard works and taken the points to bring out a new Schedule of Rates for Internal Electrification Works in the State to fulfill a long standing demand on the score. Lam confident that the Schedule of rates for Internal Electrification Works in Tripura 2017 will be found very usefuul and handy to all concerned. Dated, Agartala Te. 2017 OA \It (En Asit,sBhcionil Chief Engineer (Building) WD, Tripura PREFACE 1. Tripura Schedule of Rates 2017 for Internal Electrification Works, Public Works Department, Government of Tripura will be read along with CPWD Specification for Electrical Works, 2009 with up-to-date correction slips. 2. TSR-2017 [Internal Electrification works] incorporates most of the items of TSR-2002 with deletion of few obsolete items, merger of similar items and addition of new items in line with emerging trends in Internal Electrification. 3. Many new items using new materials and latest technology have also been added. Efforts have been made to introduce items pertaining to execution of different works by using various electrical and mechanical equipments. 4. Special emphasis has been given to adopt electrical gadgets having minimum consumption of electrical energy conforming to BEE level. This can be achieved by using low energy consuming luminaries with eco- friendly materials to ensure optimum comfort to the users. 5. Brand names of materials have not been considered in the nomenclature of items to make them generic in nature. 6. The Schedule of Rates is based on the study and consideration of current market rates of materials and labour at Agartala, collected during the period of January 2016 to March 2016. 7. The following are the salient features of TSR (IE) -2017: 7.1. Generally, the basic materials, incorporated in the schedule, are pertaining to materials conforming to BIS standard/CPWD Specifications/Materials of best quality available in the market. 7.2. In addition to materials & labour, the contractor has to spend amounts towards machinery, T&P etc. Hence, additional percentage over and above the cost of materials and labour is proposed in each item as per Tequirements observed at construction sites. 7.3. At the end of each item 15% of the cost of item is added towards Overheads and contractor's profit. This provision covers apart from contractor's profit the expenditure towards the salaries and other expenses of staff right from project manager, store keeper, site engineers to office attendant, the expenditure on construction of site office etc. 74. The description of items is given briefly and linked with relevant Sections and Clauses of CPWD Specification. 8. Sub-head wise salient features are as follows: sf ith modular switches 8.1. Conceal Wiring: New items for conceal wiring with hay been included to maintain the aesthetic view. . included. 8.2. Earthing: GI plate and Chemical earthing has been int i! 1 prong and sty 8.3. Lightning Arrester: Normal lightning arrester with GI P stip has been included. inari een ij 8.4. LED/CFL Luminaries: Latest LED/CFL luminaries have been include keeping in view the lower energy consumption. 8.5. Armoured Cable: A range of armoured and un-armoured cable has deen included for safe distribution of electrical energy. Panel & MCCB: A wide range of finished electrical panel and MCCB hay been included to improve protection system. Due care has been taken to print the Schedule of Rates as correctly gs possible. It is however, possible that some errors will have crept in. In case error or omission is noticed, it may be brought to the notice of the Superintending Engineer, Electrical, PWD (Buildings), New Secretariat Complex, Block No.7, Agartala, Tripura. 8.6. Suggestions for improvement are always welcome.
