This chapter is include the Background the study, Statement of the problem,

Hypothesis, Significance of the study, Scope and Delimitation and Definition of

terms

Background of the Study

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have contribute in our

social and economic improvement, such as higher education and productivity,

increasing access to a higher quality of life.1 Information communication and

technology corporate

electronic technologies and techniques used to manage knowledge and

information, including information-handling tools used to produce, store,

process, deal out and replace information .Most of us today uses technology

today. Teachers ,Architect ,Engineers as well as Student used modern

technology nowadays. Modern Technology today make our work easier and

faster because of it’s ability to transit information and data gathering fr om your

studies.

Modern Technology have a great impact in students. It gives satisfaction

for them when they are using technology. Technology is everywhere and it

became part of our life. It affect how we live, work and learn. With mobile

devices like phones become increasing requirement in many Industry.

Information Communication Technology students today are more likely

engaged on mobile devices like phones, smartphones, computers, tablets and


many more. The studying the parts of computers(hardware and software) and

how it works so the spend more time in using this gadgets.

Back to school time, as a students change mechanism from the hot days

of summer and shift back to read the books. Today’s classrooms are outfitted

with the latest technology to enhance education. Here are some of your fav orite

gadgets for use in day-to-day learning:

1.) Smartphones

2.) Laptops

3.) Tablets

4.) Document cameras

According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural

Organization (UNESCO), ICT “can contribute to achieving universal education

worldwide, through the delivery of education and training of teachers, improved

professional skills, better conditions for lifetime learning, and potential to reach

some people that are outside the proper education process. ICT can generate

important contributions to public health, from education to supervision. In the

education and higher learning background ICT enables healthcare professionals

to be updated and trained on knowledge advances wherever are located.4

Institutions have to put together the inventive tools made available by ICT

to increase access to and improve the competitiveness of top education

programs. Without these tools and technologies, individuals and institutions

have not as good as chances to address 21st-century issues and challenges.


Statement of the Problem

Research Title: Profile of Technical Vocational and Livelihood in Information

Communication Technology of Senior High School Students in Tayug,

Pangasinan

This Study was conducted to determine the Profile of Technical Vocational

and Livelihood in Information Communication Technology in Tayug,Pangasinan.

Specifically, This study aim to answer the following question:

1.)What is the profile of Technical Vocational and Livelihood in Information

Communication Technology of Senior High School Students in

Tayug,Pangasinan in terms of:

a.)age

b.)sex

c.)academic performance

d.)civil status

e.)behavior

f.)educational attainment

g.)social interaction
2.)What is the status of Technical Vocational and Livelihood in Information

Communication Technology of Senior High School in Tayug,Pangasinan in terms

of:

a.)enrolment

b.)number of Information Communication Technology students

c.)school facilities

d.)equipment

e.)teaching strategy

f.)capacity of building

g.)learning materials

3.)What are the problems encountered by the Technical Vocational and

Livelihood in Information Communication Technology in Tayug,Pangasinan?

4.)Is there a significant difference between the performance of Technical

Vocational and Livelihood in Information Communication Technology and

Teachers teaching strategy in area of specialization and educational attainment?

5.)Is there a significant relationship between the Profile of Technical Vocation al

and Livelihood in Information Communication Technology and level of

performance of instructor in laboratory apparatus ,instructional facilities and

classroom facilities?
Hypothesis

The following hypothesis were tested in its null form at 0.05 level of significance.

1.)There is no significant difference between the performance of Technical

Vocational and livelihood in Information Communication Technology and

Teachers teaching strategy in area of specialization and educational attainment.

2.)There is no significant relationship between the Profile of Technical

Vocational and Livelihood in Information Communication Technology and level

of performance of instructor in laboratory apparatus, instructional facilities and

classroom facilities.

Significance of the study

This study the benefits of the Technical Vocational Livelihood of Information

Communication and Technology in Tayug,Pangasinan

Furthermore ,this study is significant to the following

Teachers/School Heads-This study may help the teachers and school heads to

identify the profile of the information communication and technology student

tayug pangasinan this study provide a value of the of the profile for the school to

reflect upon the school regarding their courses they took up.

Student- The researchers believes that the student of information

communication and technology (ict) will be benefited on this study because they

will be inform of what are the profile of technical vocational livelihood (tvl)

student of tayug pangasinan. They will be inform of this study.


Future Researchers- The researchers believes that the future researchers will

be benefited in this study in terms of what are the profile of the student of

technical vocational livelihood (tvl) information communication and technology

(ict) of tayug pangasinan . and we will encourage the future researchers to be

continued of what we start in this study .to enhancing students educational

outcome on school.

Scope and delimitation

This study focused on determining the profile of Technical Vocational Livelihood

(TVL) Information Communication and Technology(ICT) of Tayug, Pangasinan

This study determining the information and communication and technology (ict)

population and profile of the student in tayug pangasinan. And this study

endeavor will determine the student profile ,study habits, and attitude towards

the subject affect their academic achievement ,Likewise , the teachers

attributes (enrolment, number of information communication student, school

facilities, equipment, teaching strategy , capacity of building, learning materials).

Definition of terms

Profile – The profile of the student in this research including their age, sex, civil

status, and educational attainment etc.

Student- It is a member or registered in the school and part of the community .

ICT- Information Communication and Technology this are the student study

about parts of the computer etc.
