Title of the project:

Plywood management system(PMS)

Objective of the project:

Plywood management system deals with keeping track of all the information of inventory of
plywood. The objective is to develop an application to keep track of daily, weekly, monthly sales
as well as stock in the warehouse. There is also provision to export the data to word and excel.
The company requires computerizing day to day job. Plywood management system provides
facilities to keep the records of the stocks in the warehouse, services, billing, customers and
vendors with all their required details along with all transaction handling.

RDBMS: A database which stores the data in the form of tables which has relation with each
other in a particular manner.

Languages to be used:
C#.Net:
Microsoft’s visual C# is Microsoft’s implementation of the C# specification, included in
the Microsoft visual studio suite of products. It is based on the ECMA/ISO specification of the
C# language which Microsoft has created. While multiple implementation of the specifications
exists, Visual Studio is one of the by far the one most commonly used[citation needed]. In most
contexts, an unqualified reference to “C#” is taken to mean “Visual C#”[ citation needed].
The term Visual denotes a brand name- relationship between the Microsoft’s
programming languages like Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, Visual J# and Visual C++. All of these
products are packaged with graphical IDE and support rapid application development of
Windows-based application.
Visual C# is currently used in the development of Windows and Xbox Live games via
Microsoft XNA, which allows the game developers to create and share their games with other
gamers. Visual C# is heavily used by ASP.Net websites and standalone applications based on the
. NET framework.

Microsoft Visual studio

Microsoft Visual studio is an integrated development environment(IDE) from Microsoft.

It is used to develop console and graphical user interface applications along with Windows form
applications, websites, web applications and web services in both native code together with
managed code for all platforms supported by Microsoft windows, Windows Mobile, Windows
CE, .Net Framework, .Net Compact framework and Microsoft Silver light.

Visual studio includes a code editor supporting IntelliSense as well as code refactoring.
The integrated debugger works both as source-level debugger and a machine-level debugger.
Other built in tools include a forms designer for building GUI applications, web designer, class
designer and database schema designer. It accepts plug-ins that accepts the functionality at
almost entry- level including adding support for source control systems (like subversion and
VisualSourceSafe) and adding new toolsets like editors and visual designers for domain-specific
languages or toolsets for other aspects of the software development life cycle(like the team
foundation server client: Team Explorer).

Usefulness:

Problem of the existing system is that all the billing process is done manually which is time
consuming and difficult to manage. This software computerizes the billing process thus allows
to overcome the existing problem.
