CHP123 – SAS600 Substation Automation

Project Training – Operation & Maintenance

Course goal
This course is for technical personnel involved in a substation automation project. This training has ad-
vance topics related to operation, maintenance and troubleshooting/replacement of some components.
Participants attending this program gain deep knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshoot-
ing the SAS System engineered by ABB including MicroSCADA, Relion® and AFS technologies. They re-
view and analyze if the system is working correctly otherwise, they choose the proper solution to per-
form the troubleshooting with the corresponding HW and SWs. Participants also review the IEC 61850
Standard, the IEC 81346 naming convention standard, engineering workflow and cybersecurity specific
implementations in a project. The training model is based on MicroSCADA Pro (incl. COM500) and
REC670 IEDs. Latest platform versions are used such as: PCM600, MicroSCADA Pro and the ITT600
