MPI

The aim of the test was to check the personality of an individual using MPI- Mandaley’s Personality
Inventory.

The subject had scored a raw score of 40 on Neuroticism and 5 on Extraversion.

The raw score of 40 in Neuroticism means a sten score of 9 and the raw score of 5 in Extraversion means
a sten score of 1.

A sten score of 9 in Neuroticism signifies that the subject has high level of neuroticism. A high level of
neuroticism signifies that the subject is highly likely to be moody and experience feelings such as
anxiety, worry, fear, anger and loneliness. People who have high level of neuroticism are more likely to
interpret ordinary situations as threatening and minor frustrations as hopelessly difficult.

A sten score of 1 in Extraversion signifies that the subject has low level of extraversion. Low level of
extraversion signifies that the subject is less involved in social activities and tends to be quiet and keep
to himself. The subject has less exuberance and energy than people who have high level of extraversion.

SCAT

The aim of the test was to check the anxiety level of an individual using SCAT- Sinha’s Comprehensive
Anxiety Test.

The subject had scored a raw score of 60 which has a percentile score of 99 which means the subject has
extremely high anxiety.

Extremely high anxiety means that the subject is highly anxious and shows combinations of the
following symptoms: rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, diarrhea, loss of appetite, fainting, dizziness,
sweating, sleeplessness, frequent urination and tremors. The subject is also susceptible to develop an
anxiety disorder such as: (a) Generalized anxiety disorder which consists of prolonged, vague and
intense fears. (b) Panic Disorder which includes frequent anxiety attacks characterized by feelings of
intense terror and dread. (c) Phobias which include irrational fears related to specific objects, interaction
with others and unfamiliar situations.

SCQ

The aim of the test was to check the Self Concept of an individual using SCQ- Self Concept
Questionnaire.

The subject had scored 16 on Physical, 27 on social, 22 on temperamental, 28 on Educational, 29 on


moral, 33 on Intellectual as raw scores.

The raw score of 16 in Physical criteria means below average self-concept. The raw score of 27 in social
criteria means above average self-concept. The raw score of 22 in temperamental criteria means
Average self-concept. The raw score of 28 in educational criteria means above average self-concept. The
raw score of 29 in moral criteria means above average self-concept. The raw score of 33 in intellectual
criteria means high self-concept.

Below average self-concept in physical criteria signifies that the subject is not comfortable with his
body/health, physical appearance and strength. Above average self-concept in social criteria means that
the subject has a high sense of worth in social interactions. Average self-concept in temperamental
criteria suggests that the subject

Above average self-concept in educational criteria signifies that

Above average self-concept in moral criteria suggests that the subject has a high estimation of his moral
worth.

High self-concept in intellectual criteria means that the subject has high level of awareness of his
intelligence and capacity of problem solving and judgment.

Overall the subject scored 155 as the total raw score, which signifies above average self-concept.

GAS

The aim of the test was to check the Adjustment level of an individual using GAS- Global Adjustment
Scale.

The subject had score 32 on emotional, 34 on family, 13 on health, 23 on school, 10 on sexual, 37 on


social as raw scores.

The raw score of 32 in emotional criteria means a sten score of 8. The raw score of 34 in family criteria
means a sten score of 9. The raw score of 13 in health criteria means a sten score of 4. The raw score of
23 in school criteria means a sten score of 5. The raw score of 10 in sexual criteria means a sten score of
2. The raw score of 37 in social criteria means a sten score of 9.

A sten score of 8 in emotional criteria suggests that the subject is highly sensitive and lacks emotional
stability. It maybe because of being overtly distressed about some relatively specific problem.

A sten score of 4 in health criteria signifies that the subject has not had a history of physical illness.

A sten score of 5 in school criteria signifies that the subject is not highly dissatisfied with his
school/instituition but is also not overly pleased with it.

A sten score of 2 in sexual criteria is an indicator of sexual contentment. The subject seems to have an
appropriate gender identity and projects normal sex behavior.

A sten score of 9 in social criteria signifies that the subject is very self-confident and is not disturbed by
what others think about him.
