August 28, 2019 Mr. Moshe Bender President Lakewood Board of Education 200 Ramsey Avenue Lakewood, NJ 08701 Dear Board President Bender, Please let this letter serve as my official resignation from the Lakewood Board of Education effective immediately. As you may recall, I resigned in May of last year for numerous reasons. After careful consideration, I did return to continue my fight for the district and to make sure that our children obtain the T & E education that they deserve. Unfortunately, the State does not care about Lakewood. Providing emergency loans to our district, in order to provide services that are mandated by law to our children, is not the kind of help that we need. The State is fully aware that we cannot repay our prior loans nor our new loans. As I stated before, | am a man of integrity and I strongly feel that I am misleading the students, faculty and community in saying, “everything is ok and will get better”. | cannot and will not be part of this, knowing this is not truthful.
