Praise be to God Almighty for be blessings of his grace, and that we were given the opportunity
to be able to compile working paper entitled "How to Learn English Well" is properly and
correctly, and on time.
This paper is structured so that readers can know how to learn English language in daily life.
This paper was compiled with help from various parties. Both parties come from outside as well
as from parties concerned itself. And because the aid and help of God Almighty, these papers can
be finally resolved.
This is a paper about " How to learn English well” and deliberately chosen because in this day
and age the use of English need to have the support of all those who care about the world of
education.

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the paper
With around 430 million people worldwide who speak English and English. This is
considered a 'universal language'.
Without English, we will not be able to interact with strangers in different languages.
Suppose there are English people who come to Indonesia, but we Indonesians do not understand
English. Therefore we will not be able to communicate with the stranger.
To get real results in English, you need to speak easily and automatically. Therefore, the
author made this paper entitled "How to Learn English Well".

2.1 The importance of English in the future and present
There are very many languages used to communicate, about 7000 languages in the world.
But we cannot master all languages to communicate. therefore we must speak English. Because
English is a patented language into an international language where every person in all parts of
the world can communicate with someone who has a different language using English.
Learning English is very important considering that in this technological era these abilities
are needed to be able to communicate between personal and different groups of languages.
Based on omninglot.com explained that English used to be international leangue because
English first began to spread during the 16th century with British Empire and was strongly
reinforced in 20th by USA world domination in economic, political and military aspects and by
the huge influence of American movies. The concept of a Universal Language is more
significant only now, in the era of world mass communication. Before this era Greek, Latin,
French were to some extent universal languages, though mainly in Europe.
2.2 The basic to learn English
Based on Effortless English Club explained about The Effortless English system is very
simple and consists of three primary areas of mastery: Body, Mind, & Method. Each of these
three areas is important and each contributes to the power of learning English well.
When we talk about “Body” in Effortless English, we are mostly talking about emotion.
Emotion is energy. Emotion is what gives us the energy and the motivation to study every day.
Emotion gives us the confidence to speak. Dr. James Asher, a language teaching expert,
researched the role of the body in language learning. He found something quite amazing in the
students who physically moved their bodies in class learned 4-5 times faster than students who
sat still during class. Dr. Asher developed an entire teaching program using movement called
“Total Physical Response”. In this program, students always move their body while learning
English. Specifically, students make strong gestures or movements related to the language they
hear. For example, when the teacher says “walk”, the students move their feet and “walk”. If the
teacher says “hungry” the students might rub their stomach. In the beginning, students do
movements for almost every sentence they hear. Later, when they reach intermediate and
advanced levels, they focus on only new or difficult sentences.
In the Effortless English System, “Mind” means beliefs and focus. Our beliefs about
learning, education, and our own abilities strongly influences our learning ability. For most
people, have some negative beliefs were created in school. Some common negative beliefs
include: “English speaking is difficult”, “Iʼm not good at English”, “Iʼm nervous when I speak
English”, “I must speak English perfectly every time”, “I canʼt make mistakes”, etc.
Unfortunately, in Middle School, High School, and University, most students learn new negative
beliefs. Their teachers force the students to memorize grammar rules and take tests. Students
learn to believe that there is only one right answer for every question. They learn to fear
mistakes. In school, students are embarrassed to make mistakes and thus they fear speaking. So,
Our beliefs strongly influence our results. Oftentimes, we succeed when we believe we will
succeed and we fail when we think we will fail. In other words, our Mind influences our learning
ability.
Finally, to improve English speaking quickly students must master the Effortless English
“Method”. “Method” refers to the specific teaching and learning techniques that we use in the
system. In the method section, you learn exactly how to study and exactly what kinds of lessons
to use. Perhaps the most important technique in the Effortless English Teaching System is that
students learn with ears (not with eyes). Students often read textbooks, study vocabulary books,
and study grammar books. They also do exercises in workbooks and test preparation books.
However, none of these activities will improve your speaking. You will not improve your
speaking by learning with your eyes. Therefore, the Effortless English Teaching System
primarily uses audio lessons. With our system, you learn with your ears. You learn vocabulary
by listening. You learn grammar by listening. You learn pronunciation by listening. You
improve your English speaking by listening.
