In the 21st century, space will be lived

Although Radebaugh
was not the only one
who opted for this
magnificent
invention. The
British children's
book publisher
Usborne presented
the Future Cities
publication that
fantasized about
what houses and life
would be like in the
21st century. The
cover shows, in this
case, the same glass
domes covering
colonial cities
located in space.

The really exciting

thing about the
illustration of Future
Cities are, however,
the small vignettes
at the top with possible inventions for this time, where the
sunroofs in the houses and the television integrated in a wrist
watch stand out, two premonitions that fit perfectly with the
present.
The most sustainable vertical cities
An idea that also fits with the concept of vertical cities, that is,
cities that would not extend to the width but to the height.
Humanity, according to the theory, would soon live in
skyscrapers where everything necessary would be found, even
parks and green areas. A more sustainable idea that would
allow you to walk to the
office, the supermarket
or the gym and reserve
the vehicles exclusively
for weekend getaways.

At the moment, in the

second decade of the
21st century some
inventions that can
define the near future
have already come true.
Microsoft, for example,
has patented Holodeck,
a virtual immersion
room that places the
user in the center and
surrounds it with a 360-
degree projection
system. Thus, it is fully integrated.
3D home printers: a reality
The most promising advance is, however, 3D home printers.
Enrico Dini created the D-Shape, which allows you to print a
two-story block with rooms, stairs and pipes with sand and a
special glue as the only materials.
In short, the houses of the future have a fascinating evolution
ahead. It remains to be seen if the assumptions that are raised
today are fulfilled or end up getting in the way.

1. One of those in that process is General Motors (GM), an

American company that seeks to strengthen the digital
link through its channels, mobile platforms and
information analysis. But it also works to take the
business to a higher level on different fronts. One of the
most innovative strategies that Chevrolet has
implemented is ChevyStar. A personal assistant 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week. With technology extended to the cell
phone, it offers 21 security, support and connectivity
services. Customers can connect with their cars through
the system offered by the rear-view mirror or with the
application of the platform. What has made the brand the
first and only to use it.

"It gives us a competitive advantage with others who don't

have that technology," said President of General Motors South
America West, Ernesto Ortiz. But it is not the only front: in
2012, General Motors Colmotores began industrial
reconversion through the automation of processes that
incorporate 32 robots. 50% of them are used for the
manufacture of automobiles, it already has the first ones
installed in Colombia and, in fact, it already has assembled,
programmed and integrated robots in the country, made up of
individual arms with computerized controls. The company
expects to have 20 electric car models in the next 3 years and,
at the level of artificial intelligence, focuses on different
technologies, such as airless tires. "These are changes that
can revolutionize a lot," he concluded. To the development of
this type of strategies, GM bets to break through in Industry
4.0.

1. Manufacturers like LG and Samsung have been flirting with

the idea for some time now.
2. Companies like Qualcomm are developing new fingerprint
sensors built into the screen of the device, based on sonar.
Thus, by ultrasound it would be possible to identify the surface
of each particular finger. Other companies such as Fujitsu are
developing non-invasive iris recognition technology, and so we
already have a team with cameras capable of differentiating the
user's eye.
3. In the future, we are expected to have better battery life on
our Smartphone, without a large commitment to the weight or
size of the devices.
4. Nintendo Plus Smartphone. It is still a prototype, but with
this idea Nintendo seeks to expand its market to mobile phones
with an idea where it mixes a cell phone with video games. The
only bad thing is that it still has no release date.

5. Triple Display Flip Phone. This phone has three flexible

touch screens and contains a high definition camera and a
keyboard below them. This cell phone has been developing for
more than five years and at the end of 2017 it could be
released.
