organize recourse to meet your goals.

 This is the creation of the idea of the project that born from the basic requirements of a country.

After a project has been identified, its parameters must be defined. This is now the formulation task.
This the stage where the following are developed. They are the objectives and expected results of the
project as well as the estimate of the various resources required to achieve them.

2. The feasibility ang appraisal of the project

Feasibility analysis is the process of determining if the program can be implemented while
appraisal is the evaluation of the ability of the project to succeed. (will it work? Will it succeed?) The
feasibility analysis attends to the critical aspects of the project that have something to do with the

met, and ensure that the proposed grant/ loan/ expenditure is in accordance with the policy of the
financing institution.

3. The design of the project

It includes the preparations of blueprint and specifications for constructions, facilities, equipment, work
schedules and contingency plans. By this stage, the basic programs are already established,
responsibilities are allocated, operational priorities and functions have already set down.

Feasibility is a study of a wide-ranging document produced in behalf of a client when deciding whether
to proceed with a project.

Factors of Feasibility Study:

Likehood of gaining statutory approvals

Outline budget cost

Contract period

Discounted cash flow over 10 years

Potential demand for completed project

Six Elements of good Feasibility Study

1. The Project Scope

2. The Current Analysis
3. The Requirements
4. The Approach
5. Evaluation
6. Review

Appraisal

Site and Ground Condition

Site and Ground Condition

1. It is essential to understand and appraise the physical condition of any site being considered for
development
2. A previous built on is likely to have existing structures or foundations from previous development which
will may effect any future development

3. Any major development investment is made by a client

4. it is advisable to have a full appraisal of the site

5. A useful information site to consider and to provide

6. There is considered debate on the use of field sites and the articles will prove useful reading on the
subject

7. Other useful information may also help you to look at published articles on field sites

The Survey will provide important for a client to make informed decisions is the suitability of a potential site
taking into account the following
Result of Sampling Test
Demolition Required
Presence of previous substructures
Potential improvement methods
Outline budget costs
Potential foundation design

The Design Team may Contribute toward the information within the feasibility study in form of an outline
specification, drawings, cost information, etc.

The team is likely to be headed and other professionals include:

Lead Consultant
Architect of Project Manager
Structural Engineer
Building Surveyor with recommendations
design recommendation
overall project costs
programme issues and procurement options

New Innovations' is the process of managing projects from inception to completion and the persons involved
should also considered and the information provides information Areas:
Preferred Design Solution
Construction Costs
Outline Programme
Construction and Design
Management Regs
Procurement and Contract Options
Contractor Selection

PROJECT PLAN A Project Plan is a detailed document providing a framework to actually deliver a given
construction project.
It will be used by the design team to monitor actual performance

It is desirable to produce an outline project plan at an early stage of a project.

The project plan is a key tool during pre contract, post-contract, handover and rectification/ defects period to
monitor progress.

Project Plan will also cover the following:

Value Engineering
Sustainability Measures
Key Performance Indicators
Performance Evaluation
Review
Costs in Use
Risk Management
