Prime Minister Elizabeth May: We are going to cancel the XL Pipeline effect immediately. We are going
to work with First Nations, Metis and Inuit are creating jobs in communities that are Green that will
protect the environment.

National Chief Perry Bellgarde: This is a great day for Canada and First Peoples everything is going full
circle and we look forward to working with as a true Nation to Nation relationship.

Prime Minister Elizabeth May: Our government will consult with First Nations, Metis and Inuit Peoples
on all matters, when First Nations win, Canada wins.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau : We will carry through with the XL Pipeline, but we will allow First
Nations leaders to purchase the Pipeline if they wish to do so! In this way, we will create and maintain a
way to sustain our Nation to Nation relationship. We have funded Indigenous education, and Indigenous
language revitalization, and tried to remedy the boil water advisory in First Nation, Metis and Inuit
communities in Canada. Our government is working diligently to address all these concerns in the next
four years.

Grand Chief Perry Bellgarde: Dear Mr. Prime Minister I understand you have worked in your first four
years on our concerns. What we require is reconcila-ACTION! We need to see these words become
reality. We need your government to consult our leadership on all matters, we need your government
to consult our Indigenous leaders on the development of the Pipelines, you need to create jobs for First
Nations we can have our own Water Treatment Plans on reserve. We require proper hospitals, doctors
on every reserve, we require a suitable Fire Station on every reservation so we can feel safe when there
are small fires in our communities. We still have generations of First Nations Peoples who have not have
clean drinking water in their communities.
We also require proper housing in our communities. In remote fly-in communities we hire teachers for
our schools but we do not have housing in our communities for the teachers to stay for the academic
year. Lastly, I do not know if you know this or not we have to pay Dentists to fly into our communities to
perform check ups for our community members, and it is expensive and not suitable. We should have
Dentists practicing in our communities. One last point now that I have the time with you, we require you
to look at the cost of food in our communities and the prices in our grocery stores are too high for
anyone to afford.

All these concerns can be remedied if your government consults with us regularly and we can check
back with you to show you the progress or lack of progress being made.

Prime Minister Trudeau: Thank you Grand Chief your points are well made, and we are going to make
these top priority for our mandate for the next Four Years.
