First PTO Meeting

September 11, 7:00 pm, Bishop Library
Please join the PTO for its first meeting of the year on next Wednesday. Everyone is welcome! These
meetings are a great way to meet other parents, stay up to date, and voice your ideas, concerns, or
feedback. We will present the budget for this year (ways money is raised and how your donations are spent)
and provide orientation for Room Parents.

Spirit Days
The First Friday of Every Month. Each year, students have the chance to showcase their Bishop Pride one
day per month. The first Friday of every month, students are encouraged to wear their Bishop t-shirts or
Bishop colors (yellow/gold and blue). Bishop spirit wear will be available through an order form that will go
home the first week of school and at all Bishop events.

Tuesdays - 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 9/30

Once again this school year, “Bishop Dines Out at Not Your Average Joe's” is taking place every Tuesday night
in September. All you have to do is show the certificate and the Bishop School PTO will receive 15% of your
purchase. A certificate will also go home in backpack mail during the first week of school and is also available
on the Bishop PTO website and Facebook page. (By the way, make sure to join this group, if you’re on
Facebook, to keep up to date.) In case you forget to bring the certificate, just mention you’re from Bishop. Why
not bring a friend or make it a grade-level event?

Interested in playing ice hockey in Arlington? Registration is open for the Arlington Hockey

developmental league, and in-house full ice program. These programs are all no-checking and practices and
games are held at Ed Burns Arena in Arlington. Arlington’s intramural programs provide a fun environment to
learn and play hockey for children born between September 1, 2015 (instructional) and 2006 (in-house). Play
begins soon, so please visit our web-site for more information and registration at www.arlingtonice.com.

In an effort to help defer equipment costs for new players joining the club in either the Instructional or
Developmental Programs, we will be offering free, complimentary equipment as supplies last, on a
first-registered-first-served basis. The families of new players to the program will be invited to come to the rink
and pick from the available equipment (such as shin guards, hockey pants, elbow pads, gloves, and shoulder
pads).

minutes immediately after school beginning in late September. Start your planning now with our Fall 2019
