CHAPTER IV

DATA PRESENTATION AND DATA ANALYSIS

A. Description of the Data

The data described were based on the research conducted by the

researcher at Islamic Boarding School in Tampan district. This chapter

describes the data about the teachers’ perception on using technology in

teaching English. There is only one variable involved in this research~ it is

the teachers’ perception on using technology. The variable was

investigated by using questionnaire to measure the teachers’ perception.

B. Data Presentation

Data about Questionnaire of Teachers’ Perception on Using

Technology in Teaching English at Islamic Boarding School in Tampan

district.

Teachers’ response was rated in scale of Strongly Agree (SA),

Agree (A), Uncertain (U), Disagree (D), and Strongly Disagree (SD).

Respondents indicated their opinion by putting crosswise on the position

on the scale which most represents what they feel. Then, the teachers’

response scores were assessed with the following scale:

a. STRONGLY AGREE= 5

b. AGREE= 4

c. UNDECIDED = 3

d. DISAGREE = 2

e. STRONGLY DISAGREE = 1

There are three copies of questionnaire given based on the total

respondents in this research. The data gotten by the researcher in this

research are drawn in the following tables:

Based on the table above, it can be known that the teachers’ perception to

to technology from three respondents, there are 0 teacher chooses strongly agree

with the percentage 0%, 3 teachers choose agree with the percentage 100%, 0

teacher chooses undecided with the percentage 0%, 0 teacher chooses disagree

with the percentage 0%, and 0 teacher chooses strongly disagree with the

percentage 0%.

In conclusion, it can be known that all teachers choose agree which means

that the teachers agree to demonstrate introductory knowledge, skills, and
