I. Event Rules and Mechanics

a. All officially enrolled Grade 6 learners with LRN are eligible to join the contest.
b. The Event Administrators, technical committee members and judges, should be in the
venue sixty (60) minutes ahead of the event schedule.
c. Event materials, supplies, tools, equipment and other things needed for the venue will
be made ready by the Event Administrator sixty (60) minutes before the event
schedule.
d. All contestants should be at the designated venue thirty (30) minutes before the event
starts. Late participants without valid reasons shall be disqualified.
e. The Event Administrator will let the contestants draw lots to determine their respective
places and let them prepare for the competition.
f. Final briefing of contestants will be done fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled
event.
g. The Event Administrator will signal for the event to begin. Once the event has started,
the coaches, teachers and delegates are no longer allowed to talk to the participants to
give them full concentration in their work.
h. Only the Event Administrator, technical committee members, judges, official
photographer and contestants are allowed in the venue.
i. No questions shall be entertained during the contest proper except clarifications and
points of order. All clarifications and points of order will be directed to the Event
Administrator.
j. If irregularities were found, the Event Administrator in consultation with the Board of
Judges, may allow the contestants to finish the task but the output will not be included
in the judging. The matter shall be raised to the Technical Evaluation Committee for
appropriate action.
k. The information collected and presented in the entire presentation should be based on
the prescribed theme.
l. The PowerPoint version shall be discussed and agreed upon prior to the competition
proper.
m. The content, synopsis, images and other materials to be used are all provided.
n. The presentation should have at least 10 relevant questions.
o. Contestants can use any design template and layout they prefer.
p. Proper usage of animation will be observed. These may be applied to text, pictures, auto
-shapes and other embedded objects.
q. Applying transitions between each slide of the presentation is optional.
r. Contestants may use sound clips to enhance their presentations.
s. Contestant are encouraged to use MACROS in their presentations.
t. Interactivity will be observed in the presentation. The user must be able to select from
the choices given. If the user will choose a Correct answer a *“Correct” prompt should
be displayed, otherwise an *“Incorrect” prompt will be displayed.
u. The last slide must display a prompt stating that the quiz has ended and should provide
options to let users *“Quit” or *“Try Again” the Interactive Quiz.
v. The Interactive Quiz slides should only proceed to the next slide by selecting an option
provided and not by a mouse click or keystroke from the keyboard.
w. Each contestant will go through a presentation of work and interview with the Board
of Judges after the three (3) hours’ time allotment. A maximum of ten (10) minutes
per entry Presentation and Interview. All entries will be asked uniform questions.
x. All files and output presentations shall be submitted and kept by the Event
Administrator. No copies shall be given to the contestants.
y. The working area should be cleaned by the contestants immediately after every event.

*The contestants may use any other words similar to the one given.
