Data Protection Declaration
Handling your personal data responsibly is a given for Flughafen
Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB).

We generally do not need your personal data for you to use of our
services. We only need this data if we answer queries from you or
grant you access to special information or offers such as for example
our newsletter. Gathering or using personal data only occurs with
your consent, which is obtained from you separately for each
relevant service. We will neither sell your personal data to third
parties nor market it without your consent. If we assign service
providers to process the data, they are equally subject to the data
protection provisions.

Your personal data is deleted when the respective purpose of use

ends unless this is contrary to other legal or contractual retention
periods.

Every time our WLAN service is accessed, the following data is stored
by the server in order to be able to guarantee the technical
availability as well as the security of the WLAN service.

• IP-address
• MAC-address

The data can only be evaluated for reasons necessary for operation,
relevant for security as well as for statistical purposes.

The stored data is deleted in accordance with statutory regulations

after the purpose of storage is no longer relevant.

Google Analytics

The WLAN landing page uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service
of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “Cookies”,
text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of

1/3
your use of the landing page. The information on your use of the
landing page generated by the cookie (including your IP address) are
transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google
will use this information to evaluate your use of the landing page,
compile reports on the activities for the operator of the landing page
and provide additional services associated with the use of the
landing page. Also Google might transmit this information to third
parties if this is legally required or third parties process this data on
behalf of Google. Google will under no circumstances combine your
IP address with other Google data. Further details are available in the
privacy notices of Google Analytics:
http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

You can prevent cookies from being installed with a corresponding

setting of your browser software by downloading and installing a
browser plug-in:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

We would like to point out that in this case you might not be able to
fully use all the functions of this landing page. When using Google
Analytics, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH implements the
anonymization of IP addresses by using the Google “anonymizeIP”
codes. In doing so, your IP address is collected in shortened form by
Google in Member States of the European Economic Area or in the
other signatory countries of the Agreement on the European
Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be
transmitted to the Google server in the USA and shortened there.
When using this landing page, you declare your consent that the
data about you collected by Google may be processed in the above
describe manner and for the previously mentioned purpose.

Request for information

In certain cases we are legally obligated to transmit user or

communication data, as far as this is available, to state authorities. In
addition, claims under the copyright law may force us to disclose
certain information, as far as this is available, in the presence of a
court order. This applies especially if copyrighted works are
published by users without authorisation.

2/3
Currently FBB does not store any communication data beyond the
duration of the respective WLAN use. Also it is not possible to
personalise IP or MAC addresses in the absence of login data.
Individual rights to information or deletion of data do not exist in the
absence of personal data.

FBB cannot perform personalisation on IP or MAC addresses due to a

lack of registration data. Analysis of personal data (e.g. user profile
generation) is not performed.
