GARDENING REPORT

I. OBJECTIVE
- To learn how to successfully grow plants and use the product to decorate the
school’s wall so the school becomes greener.

II. MATERIALS
- Gardening tools, soil, recycled 1.5L plastic bottles, wire, a sharp object to poke a
hole, fertilizer, paint, paintbrush, something that can hold water for watering the
plants.

III. PROCEDURE
A. POT PREPARATION
- Firstly, we cut around 1/3 of the bottle from the top side. Then we cut a little notch
for the plants to stick out. We also then make holes at the bottom of the bottle for
the water to go through when the plants are watered. We also poke two holes at
the top of the bottle for the wire to go through so we could hang it.

B. SOIL PREPARATION
- Firstly, we mixed the soil with some sand and then with some fertilizer. After the soil
is ready, we put the soil in the bottles and leave a hole in the middle for the plant to
go in.

C. PLANTING
- Firstly, we pick the plants we want to plant then put them in the hole we have
created before. After that we secured the plants in place and covered the remaining
spaces with soil. Finally, we cultivate the soil and hang the plants up on the wall.

V. PICTURES

VI. GENERALIZATION
- To decorate the school’s wall and to become more green. We grew plants in
recycled plastic bottles. We cut the bottles and made them into pots. Then we put in
the soil mixture and plant the plants. To make the pots look better, we painted them.
Then when their ready we hang them up on the wall and make sure they are
growing well and are healthy.
