I. RATIONALE
The Ecological Solid Waste Management Program (ESWMP) is a school initiated program to help maintain the beauty and
cleanliness of the school. It is also designed to foster environmental and ecological awareness and preservation to the learners, teaching
and non-teaching staff and the stakeholders.
The ESWMP is focused on the following activities:
1. Classroom Waste Segregation;
2. Canteen Area Waste Segregation,
3. Material Facility Recover (MRF) utilization;
4. Beautification and maintenance;
5. Implementation of the No to Plastic Cups and Cellophane in the Canteen;
6. Symposium on Solid Waste Management Segregation, and
7. Implementation of Vermicomposting for the Gulayan sa Paaralan.
II. OBJECTIVES
The Ecological Solid Waste Management Program aimed to:
1. Intensify waste segregation in the classroom;
2. Strengthen the implementation of waste segregation at the school canteen;
3. Capacitate the learners, teaching and non-teaching staff on the use of the MRF;
4. Intensify the beautification and maintenance of the school;
5. Enhance the implementation of the No Plastic Cups and Cellophanes in the Canteen;
6. Intensify the implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan;
7. Implement and monitor the school’s vermicomposting; and
8. Capacitate the learners’ knowledge on the Ecological Solid Waste Segregation through symposiums.
