4.1 Introductory Activity
 The students identify and name the volcanoes presented in front and give its location

 Our country is blessed with so many landforms or features. Name these land features and plot its location in the map.

A volcano is a mountain that opens downward to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth. When pressure
builds up, eruptions occur. Gases and rock shoot up through the opening and spill over or fill the air with lava fragments.
4.4 Abstraction
Volcanoes are distributed all the world but mostly near the edges of tectonic plates. There are some volcanoes located in
'intra-plate' areas (far from the ridges) that form from hotspots, such as the Hawaiian islands. (Credits: Quora.com)
