by the end of the lesson the Ss will be able:
1. to practice greetings and numbers, say their names, follow simple instructions, identify and recognize
colors;
2. to identify and say the school objects

Activity 1: Play "Ball Pass"and say names S-S
The Teaches takes a soft ball and
passes it to nearest student, saying
"Pass", have each student pass the
ball around the circle. Next, each
student holds the ball and say his/
her name, each student say their
name as they pass the ball to each
other. The teacher makes sure they
pass, not throw, roll, etc. If a student
doesn't pass make sure s/he does it
again until done properly.

Activity 2: Sing the "Hello Song" Ss sing T – Ss
The teacher and students sing the Ss – Ss S/L 2’ -To arouse Ss’ interest on the topic
"Hello, Hello" song following the
tune of Frere Jacques:
Hello, hello, Hello, hello,
How are you? How are you?
I'm fine, thank you, I'm fine, thank
you,
We're ok, We're ok.

Activity 3: Ss listen and do the T – Ss -to maintain Ss’ interest on the topic
Do "Exercise Routine" activity exercise Ss - T S 2’
The teacher says the following and
have the students follow your lead:
 Stand up (T stands and so does
everyone else)
"Hands up / hands down" (do 4 or
5 times)
 "Jump" (4 or 5 times)
"Run! / Stop!" (4 or 5 times)
"Turn around! / Stop!" (4 or 5
times)
 "Sit down".

Activity 4: Play "Color Pass "
The T takes colors and passes it to Ss speak S-S
nearest student. The students pass
the colors round the circle and say Ss- T
their name.

Activity 5:
The teacher introduces the new T-Ss S/L 10’ Ss are introduced to the topic of the new
vocabulary: chair, table, schoolbag, Ss speak and listen Ss – T lesson
book, pencil case, pen, pencil, ruler,
rubber, board and sharpener. The -to maintain students’ interest on the
teacher prepares flashcards with all topic and to introduce language needed
school objects.
The teacher starts off by holding up
a flashcard and proceeds as
follows:
Teacher: What's this? It's a table.
Repeat "table".
Students: "Table" (repeat 3 times)
Teacher: Can you see a table in the
classroom? Point to the table.
Students: (Point to tables)
Teacher: Yes! Good job!

Then does the same with all


flashcards.

Activity 6: For checking recently taught -to introduce and to check understanding
vocabulary, the teacher asks the Ss speak and T – Ss S/R 10’ of the new vocabulary and knowledge
students to match the school match objects Ss--T
objects to the numbers in exercise 1
( Ex. 2, page 25) and then color the
school objects by using a given
colour ( ex. 3, page 25) - to check comprehension; to give
students practice;
