Outreach Activities:

* Fulbright Alumni Community Action Grant 2015 helped in reaching out with
western classical music to children from Cairo’s economically underprivileged areas
by fusing storytelling with classical music played by Awtar Quartet. The performances
took place in Cairo and Giza slums of Ard Ellewa, Stabl Antar, and Konayesa, beside
Orphanages and Children’s Hospitals in Cairo and Alexandria.

* Fulbright Alumni Community Action Grant 2016 helped in bringing Classical and
Arabic music arrangements to patients, visitors and staff of Egyptian charity and
public hospitals in the cities of Tanta, Mansoura, Damietta, Luxor and Aswan where
socially underprivileged individuals and groups living in remote cities with no cultural
venues presents such music.

* Awtar Quartet in collaboration with Mahatat for Contemporary Arts helped in

bringing classical music outside the traditional halls to the streets of the Egyptians
cities of Cairo, Mansoura, Damietta, and Ras Elbar.

* Founding the Osiris String Orchestra for amateurs in 2016 being the first of its kind
in Cairo to give classical music amateurs a chance to develop their group playing
